Being friends with God, is in someways no different than being friends here. It takes spending time together, really knowing each other and learning to trust one another.
Thank goodness, dare I say thank God, we are all capable of of that 🙂

As many of you know, my Dad died a few years ago. He taught me so much about faith before he left for Heaven. One of the most important lessons he taught me is feelings just are…but faith is not about how we feel on any given day, but about who we choose to follow on every single day.
And he taught me that sometimes feelings lie…sometimes we “feel” that God is far away, but the truth is that God is always with us and God is always for us. Our “feelings” may tell us we have failed one to many times, but the truth is that there is no such thing. Jesus loves us no matter what and has already paid the price of all of our sins. There are times we may “feel” trapped by circumstances, but The truth is we are free. For Jesus set us free and Heaven waits.
So while it is true that feelings just are. It is also true that God is ever faithful even when we are not (And let’s face it, we all fail sometimes)
But no matter what, God always keeps His promises 🙂
Just thinking of that verse, I can’t help but think how much it must have cost our Father to give His only Son, just to save us. Loving our children is as wonderful as it is all consuming. I can remember well when they were little and sick, my heart would just hurt for them! And as they got older and faced some of life’s challenges, my heart hurt even more for them! I can’t even begin to think what it must have cost our Father and Jesus’ mother Mary, to watch their Son suffer so just to save us.
Thank you Jesus, for saving me. And thank you Father and Mary for your willingness to hurt so much as you watched your Son suffer for our sins, so that we might be saved.
How Blessed are we to be so loved. And although there will never be enough words to thank you, thank you all the same
