Charles Spurgeon once said, “the Holier a man becomes, the more he mourns his unholiness”.
I think this is true.
When we first become Christians, whether as a child or as a grown up, we are in one place. After we have pursued a relationship with Jesus for many years, we are often in another. This is the way of life. It’s no different than the fact that we are in a different place in life when we are 60 than when we are 16.
There is good to be had in both places. Newer Christians often bring much needed excitement and devotion to our faith. Those who have grown for many years in our faith, often bring wisdom. We need both!
And because of this, we must also be patient and loving with another.
We are not always going to be in the same place at the same time. We will not always agree with each other. But we always need to Love one another.
And we all need to ask our Father to forgive us through His Son Jesus, for the sins we do not recognize and the sinful behavior that may come about because we don’t recognize some of our sins.
No matter what, don’t stop praying ?. As Christians, we need prayer like we need to breathe ?. Pray when you feel like it and pray especially when you don’t.
As one of my Pastors often said, “Prayer changes things “ . We must let it change us ?
