Our country was formed on July 4, 1776. A Gift from our Creator given well over 200 years ago. A Christian nation, our nation embraced no particular denomination, but make no mistake – it was a Christian nation.
Along the way, we embraced Judeo-Christian values because many of the values embraced by Americans at that time were from the Old and New Testament.
As a nation, we grew and grew, but we always worshipped one God. Because there is ONLY one God. We survived the many challenges we faced as a nation by Trusting and Following our Lord.
Sadly, we are no longer that nation. God has been banned from the public square and many schools. Many schools have forgotten just how precious children are in the site of God and seem to indoctrinate our nation’s children against much of what God has taught them. And many have lost their faith and still more Americans have forgotten the importance of prayer and instead embraced apostasy.
God will not continue to Bless a nation that has so completely rejected Him.

There are so many issues in our world that we are worried about. But Jesus said:
“6 You will hear of wars and rumors of wars, but see to it that you are not alarmed. Such things must happen, but the end is still to come. 7 Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be famines and earthquakes in various places. 8 All these are the beginning of birth pains.” – Matthew 24:6-8
But we who belong to Jesus need not fear. For Jesus said:
“33 These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.” (Jesus told u s)-John 16:33
So do not fear. In the end, we will be in Heaven, for all eternity, together.

Faith is a Gift from God! Some have asked me how I have such a deep Faith. Some have praised me for it; some have criticized me for it. But I have always been so grateful that God gave me such a strong and abiding Faith.
And yet I did nothing to obtain it. I did nothing to earn it. I just kept asking God for more Faith, and God gave me the Gift of Faith.
The wonderful thing about that is that my Faith is simply a Gift from God. Which means anyone and everyone can obtain a strong and abiding Faith.
God is just waiting for you to ask, and God will be so happy when you do!

“At that time Michael, the great prince who protects your people, will arise. There will be a time of distress such as has not happened from the beginning of nations until then. But at that time your people—everyone whose name is found written in the book—will be delivered.”-Daniel 12:1
God says we will have hope. Our hope is in Jesus Christ. And Michael, the Great Archangel, will “arise”. And although there may be very difficult times, we will be “delivered”. Through our faith in Jesus, Heaven awaits us 🙂
In the Holy Bible, God says many times: “Do Not Fear”.
For those who wish greater Comfort and to increase their Trust in our Lord even more, this prayer is very helpful:
Our Lady of Perpetual Help (also known as our Blessed Mother) is a Catholic title associated with a “15th-century Byzantine icon” and a Marian apparition. The image has been enshrined in a church in Rome since 1499. According to some it was painted “810-865 years after the death of Christ”.
The “Marian apparition” was the appearance by Our Blessed Mother Mary to a young girl in great need who asked Our Blessed Mother Mary for help! Since then, many have prayed before the icon of Our Blessed Mother Mary holding the baby Jesus for help, and received it.
Many people all over the word pray the Novena of Our Lady of Perpetual Help. The feast day of Our Lady of Perpetual Help is celebrated today.
The miracles that have occurred can not be counted…

“1. Behold, O Mother of Perpetual Help, at thy feet a wretched sinner, who has recourse to thee and trusts in thee. O Mother of mercy, have pity on me; I hear all men call thee the refuge and hope of sinners: be therefore my refuge and my hope. Help me for the love of Jesus Christ: hold out thy hand to a fallen wretch, who commends himself to thee and dedicates himself to be thy servant forever. I praise and thank God, who of His great mercy hath given me this confidence in thee, a sure pledge of my eternal salvation. Alas, it is only too true that in the past I have fallen miserably, because I did not come to thee. I know that with thy help I shall conquer; I know that thou wilt help me, if I commend myself to thee; but I am fearful lest in the occasions of sin I shall forget to call upon thee and so I shall be lost. This grace, then, do I ask of thee; for this I implore thee, as much as I can and know how to do; namely, that in the assaults of hell I may ever run to thy protection and may say to thee: Mary, help me; Mother of Perpetual Help, permit me not to lose my God.
Hail Mary, three times.
2. O Mother of Perpetual Help, grant me ever to be able to call upon thy powerful name, since thy name is the help of the living and the salvation of the dying. Ah, Mary most pure, Mary most sweet, grant that thy name from this day forth may be to me the very breath of life. Dear Lady, delay not to come to my assistance whenever I call upon thee; for in all the temptations that assail me, in all the necessities that befall me, I will never leave off calling upon thee, ever repeating: Mary, Mary. What comfort, what sweetness, what confidence, what tenderness fills my soul at the sound of thy name, at the very thought of thee! I give thanks to our Lord, who for my sake hath given thee a name so sweet, so lovable, so mighty. But I am not content merely to speak thy name; I would utter it for very love of thee; it is my desire that love should ever remind me to name thee, Mother of Perpetual Help.
Hail Mary, three times.
3. O Mother of Perpetual Help, thou art the dispenser of every grace that God grants us in our misery; it is for this cause that He hath made thee so powerful, so rich, so kind, that thou mightiest assist us in our miseries. Thou art the advocate of the most wretched and abandoned sinners, if they but come unto thee; come once more to my assistance, for I commend myself to thee. In thy hands I place my eternal salvation; to thee I entrust my soul. Enroll me among thy most faithful servants; take me under thy protection and it is enough for me: yes, for if thou protect me, I shall fear nothing; not my sins, for thou wilt obtain for me their pardon and remission; not the evil spirits, for thou art mightier than all the powers of hell; not even Jesus, my Judge, for He is appeased by a single prayer from thee. I fear only that through my own negligence I may forget to recommend myself to thee and so I shall be lost. My dear Lady, obtain for me the forgiveness of my sins, love for Jesus, final perseverance and the grace to have recourse to thee at all times, O Mother of Perpetual Help.
“He has shown you, O mortal, what is good. And what does the Lord require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God.”-Micah 6:8
We live in a time when people seem to really hate each other. One has only to look at all of the wars that are currently taking place or about too, to see just how much! It takes a certain kind of hate to kill another human being or to make them suffer as so many have suffered. And one has only to look at the horrific behavior on America’s college campuses or the anti-semitic behavior on our own streets.
God taught us to “act justly and to love mercy”. We don’t actually have to agree with a person in order to choose to “act” as God has taught us. Every human being is capable, with God’s Help, of acting justly and with mercy. And every human being is deserving of justice and mercy.
We need to remember that always and act accordingly!

The great thing about God’s Peace is that it is not dependent upon our circumstances. And whether it be events like the loss of a loved one, a loss of a friend, a job loss or more serious events such as war or famine-God can give us His Peace.
It’s a Peace that transcends all things! And it is a Peace that only Jesus can give 🙂

“Faith does not operate in the realm of the possible. There is no glory for God in that which is humanly possible. Faith begins where man’s power ends.” – George Mueller
