Sanctuary

A friend sent me this, it was so good I just had to share 🙂

“Sometimes words are SO twisted by the world, that what they represent even appears to protect evil. Truth needs to stand up and shine our Lord’s Light upon them to be able to see clearly. “Sanctuary” appears many times in the Bible and every time it is used refers to a place. Sanctuary comes from the combination of the Latin word “Santus” and the suffix “-ary”. Sanctus refers to something that has been set apart from all other things; in religion, it applies to something that has been set apart for the express use or service to Jehovah God. The suffix “-ary” denotes something connected intimately to the word it modifies, and it especially refers to a place.

The apostle Paul tells us that: “God, who made the world and everything in it, since He IS Lord of heaven and earth, does not dwell in temples made with hands. Nor is He worshipped with men’s hands, as though He needed anything, since He gives to all life, breath, and all things.” (Acts 17:24-25) This is the mistake that was made and clarified about “sanctuaries” under the New Testament. SO, where does God dwell?

“Do you not know that you are the temple of God and that the Spirit of God dwells in you?” (1 Corinthians 3:16)

“Having been built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ Himself being the chief cornerstone, in whom the whole building, being fitted together, grows into a holy temple in the Lord, in whom you also are being built together for a dwelling place of God in the Spirit.” (Ephesians 2:20-22) Truly, we are “living stones” that are built upon The Rock of Jesus Christ. Soon, the day IS coming when ALL of these things will pass away and God will dwell with us. On that day, EVERYTHING will be holy,

ALL that exists will be the Sanctuary of God. Angels and mankind will cry out in a glorious chorus of praise and worship to their Creator and King: “Holy, Holy, Holy IS the Lord God Almighty!!” Until that day, however, Christians are the spiritual house which is being built. We are the Sanctuary of God on earth. Let us sing of that day when we will be with God!! Amen!!

My thoughts and prayers are that you continually Prepare and Watch for the day that IS coming. That you are the spiritual house which is being built, and share the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit with others to increase the Sanctuary of God. In Jesus’ Name. Thy Will be done. Amen. Peace.”

Thank You Father

Pancakes

“Once upon a time, a five-year-old boy decided one Saturday morning to fix his parents pancakes. He found a big bowl and spoon, pulled a chair to the counter, opened the cupboard and pulled out the heavy flour canister, spilling it on the floor! He scooped some of the flour into the bowl with his hands, mixed in most of cup of milk and added some sugar, leaving a floury trail on the floor, which by now had a few tracks left by his kitten. The young boy was covered with flour and getting frustrated. He wanted this to be something very good for Mom and Dad, but it was getting very bad.

He didn’t know what to do next, whether to put it all into the oven or on the stove, and he didn’t know how the stove worked! Suddenly he saw his kitten licking from the bowl of mix and reached to push her away, knocking the egg carton to the floor. Frantically, he tried to clean up this monumental mess but slipped on the eggs, getting his pajamas white and sticky. Just then he saw Dad standing at the door. Big crocodile tears welled up in the boy’s eyes. All he’d wanted to do was something good, but he’d made a terrible mess. he was sure a scolding was coming, maybe even a spanking or time-out. But his father just watched him. Then, walking through the mess, he picked up his crying son, hugged him and loved him, getting his own pajamas white and sticky in the process.

That’s how your Heavenly Father deals with you. You try to do something good in life, but it turns into a mess. Your relationship with someone gets sticky, you insult a friend, you can’t stand your job or need one, or your health goes sour. Sometimes, you just stand there in tears because you can’t think of anything else to do. That’s when God picks you up and loves and forgives you, even though some of your mess gets all over Him. But just because you might mess up, you can’t stop trying for God or for others. Sooner or later, you’ll get it right, and then you’ll be glad you tried. My thoughts and prayers are that you NEVER give up on yourself or God! That you Truly Trust in Him for ALL you are, do and need, that His Infinite Mercy and Grace IS Present in you and you in Him.

That you accept His Love and Peace, that only He can give! That you help others know His Love and Peace, like He helps you. In Jesus’ Name. Thy Will be done. Amen. Peace.”

God Goes Before Us-Always!

“King of the Battle, You Go Before!”

I love the song “Every Crown” by Bryan Boliver (posted below).  Think about just the first line:  “King of the Battle, You go before”.  We never go into Battle alone, ever.  God always goes before us!  What a Blessing!  What a comfort!  We face no battle alone.  And not only do we not face it alone, God Goes Before Us!

The next line is “Ruling in Power, we stand secure”.  We who follow Christ are always secure!  There is never a time when God does not know everything that is happening to us, around us.  He’s GOT this.

“enemies fall to their knees they are defeated”.  Our enemies, and the enemies of Christ, WILL be defeated.  While it may be customary to focus on God’s Great Love for us, right now, we need to also focus on God’s Great Power as well.  The “war has already been won by Jesus Christ”, we need not fear.

Vanquishing every fear.  Hope can begin again”.  Doesn’t this make each of us smile.  We all know that there are those who oppose and persecute Christians.  But it is temporary.  There will come a day when ALL Christians will be safe from those who oppose or persecute us.  We will be free from those who seek to silence us and we will be able to share God’s Praises without fear.  Just as we will be able to share our stories of Salvation and Blessing without fear.  For our time will have come ?

“YOU ARE THE GOD WHO SAVES”.

What more need be said?  There is only one side worth choosing! ?

Sin Matters!

“God may appear to be overlooking sin, especially when evil seems to triumph in our day. Rest assured, that with in the very core nature of God is His Justice.”

“He cannot by nature overlook sin.”

“And He has appointed a day in which He will judge the world in righteousness. You can be sure of that.”-Jay Fowler

This concept is so important. Why?

For one, forgivness requires true repentance. And true repentance requires both genuine sorrow and change. Do we sometimes fall into the same sin again? Of course we do, for we are weak and God understands that. But God knows the difference between our best effort to lead a Holy life-and not even trying. Because God knows our hearts. And for this, we thank God.

There is another reason that this concept is important. As we look around the world, we see a great many injustices. A great many people hurt. But God is Just! And while He sent His only Son to forgive our sins and bring us to Heaven because He is merciful and loves us, He is also Just.

Those who continue to reject Jesus will not enter the Gates of Heaven. Just as no evil will ever enter the Gates of Heaven. Rest assured, along with God’s Mercy, Justice will come. And unlike some of our courts here on earth, it will be completely Just.

God is as Merciful as He is Just. No matter how dark the days, we can trust Him.
