Just Breathe :)

A friend sent me this one 🙂

Although your to-do lists and schedules bombard your attention, you do NOT have to allow anything to take priority over God. That IS your choice! Your Father really wants and needs an intimate relationship with you – growing in Him and He in you. He wants to reveal Himself to you, through His Holy Spirit, to show you a glimpse of His Awesome Power – His Change Stirring in you! When His Holy Spirit IS Stirring in you, your steps seem light and burden less – that IS His Promise to you! Does this mean you will have no more trials and tribulations? NO! But it DOES mean that you have Someone to give your burdens to, to receive His Light in the world’s darkness. God’s Word shares with you, “Then Jesus spoke to them again: “I AM the Light of the world. Anyone who follows Me will never walk in the darkness but will have the Light of life.” It DOES mean that God will never leave or forsake you in ALL your struggles! He IS also there in ALL your Joy and Peace! He wants you to Truly Trust Him in ALL things – to surrender your life to Him – to release His Blessings Full to cover you! It IS SO easy to attempt to retain control over portions of your life, that you think you are better qualified to handle! Does that sound familiar? It IS your human nature battling in this spiritual warfare, while on earth. The Truth IS, there IS no One better qualified to help you than Your Creator, the One whom made you in His Image! The One who knows exactly the path that will lead you to Him Eternally – know it IS worth listening to His Voice – and much less grief for sure!

So often, you may think about what God’s Will and Purpose IS for you. With SO many demands to manage, you desire HUGE signs from your Heavenly Father to give you direction. When all along, God would like you to Truly Watch what He places right in front of you. Sharing with His Children IS one of His Gifts – there are many ways, perhaps even breaking bread together in a personal meal. You do NOT have to have candles, or tablecloths, or even a properly set table. In this sharing, God provides His Comfort to hearts that are reaching out. His Compassion for His Children IS like no other! He crosses paths, weaving His Threads of Healing, Mercy and Grace, Strength and Courage, Love, Joy and Peace! Just a simple heart-felt smile, when passing by someone, creates a stirring in their hearts! God grants you SO many opportunities to make a GREAT positive difference in someone else’s life! It IS SO easy to become bogged down with your own life’s troubles that you forget that everyone else IS experiencing the same – even though they may appear calm on the outside. Do NOT miss out on these! Do NOT rush through life. Make time to stop and Just Breathe it ALL in. Share your breath with others!
My thoughts and prayers are with you that you Just Breathe your Father, Son and Holy Spirit ALL in! That you make time to share His Presence with others! That you experience His Joy and Peace, that Truly, IS like no other. In Jesus’ Name. Thy Will be done. Amen:

My Friends, hold the fort, Jesus is coming!

From Worthy Devotionals:

Luke 19:12-13 Therefore He said, “A certain nobleman went into a far country to receive for himself a kingdom, and to return. So he called his ten servants, and delivered them ten pounds, and said unto them, Occupy till I come.

During the American Civil War in the 1860’s, a fierce battle took place at Altoona Pass. It was a key supply point for the Union Army, so the Confederate Army led by General Hood sought to take Altoona Pass which held over a million and a half rations. When Union General Sherman realized Hood’s plans, he dispatched General Corse along with 1,500 men to hold the city.

As the battle ensued, General Corse and his forces were forced into a small fort on a crest of a hill. The Northern army was being overwhelmed, with nearly half the men either killed or wounded in the battle. Things were looking extremely bleak, when in the distance from a mountain top twenty miles away a while flag was being waved, and those in the fort knew the message being sent, “Hold the fort; I am coming. W.T. Sherman.”

This sign gave the beleaguered army renewed strength to continue fighting the battle for another three hours until reinforcements finally arrived.

From this battle, a famous Christian song was written and its chorus is so eloquent for us today, “Hold the fort, for I am coming, Jesus signals still; Wave the answer back to heaven, By thy grace we will!”

My Friends, in the midst of spiritual battles we can often feel besieged on every side — but HOLD THE FORT! Get some rest this weekend and renew your strength in the Lord for the victory is already won — we just need to continue fighting because He is coming!”

My Friends, Disarm Discouragement!”

Proverbs 15:23 A man has joy by the answer of his mouth: and a word spoken in due season, how good it is!

A modern parable has been written about the tools of the enemy that I believe we can really learn from.

“Some time ago, an advertisement appeared in which the devil was putting all his tools up for sale. On the day of public inspection, each one of his tools was marked with its selling price: Hatred, Envy, Jealousy, Doubt, Lying, Pride, and so on, were each on the block. Set apart, however, from all the rest of the pile, was a harmless-looking tool, well-worn, but priced very high — it was discouragement!”

Someone asked the devil, ‘why is that one priced so high?’ He replied, ‘Ah, that one is more useful to me than all the rest. With it I can pry open a man’s heart and enter, when I cannot get near him with any other tools. Once inside, I can lead him any way I choose. The tool is very worn because I use it on almost everyone, since few people know it belongs to me.'”

The enemy loves to sow discouragement — but believers have a tool much more powerful — encouragement! We can speak a word into the lives of those who desperately need to hear it: to the college student adjusting to his new environment; to the missionary who may feel alone in the harvest field; to the disillusioned newlywed young couple; to the forgotten servants of God who labor in an obscure and difficult ministry; to the orphans and the widows; to all those who need to hear a word in due season!

My Friends, we have the power in our lips to rekindle a discouraged soul. Let’s inspire one another with words of encouragement! It costs nothing, and reaps an eternal reward…encourage one another daily, as you see the Day draw near. [Hebrews 10:25]”

Your Soul Can Take Flight!

For some, like me, it’s Christian music and the Amazing world our
Father Created.
For others it’s time alone with our Lord. For still others, it’s Rainbows, Wind, Water with Sun Dancing on it….

But whatever it is, ask the Holy Spirit to help you find it. For our Lord meant us to have Joy in Him, both in this life and the next 🙂

The Women at the Well

Today on the way to work I listened to Beth Moore’s “John” talk about the Women at the Well. I couldn’t help but think about how much Jesus must have loved this one women. Five husbands, and yet He loved her so much, he told her who He was. He saved her. How much Jesus loves each of us! Surely we are Blessed 🙂

Before we speak. Is it True? Is it Good? Is it Wise?

A friend sent me this story,  it was so good, I couldn’t resist sharing 🙂

Once upon a time, in a remote village, there was reputed to be a person whom held knowledge in high esteem. All the townspeople, even some strangers that traveled from far away, came to consult with this person regarding personal questions or perhaps philosophy shared. One day an acquaintance met with them and said, “Do you know what I just heard about your friend?” “Hold on a minute,” the wise person said. “Before you talk to me about my friend, it might be a good idea to take a moment and filter what you’re going to say. That’s why I call it the “Triple Filter Test”. The first filter IS Truth. Have you made absolutely sure what you are about to tell me IS True?” “Well, no,” the other person said, “actually I just heard about it and…” “All right,” said the wise person. “So you don’t really know if it’s true or not. Now, let’s try the second filter, the filter of Goodness. Is what you are about to tell me about my friend something good?” “Umm, no, on the contrary…” “So,” the wise man continued, “you want to tell me something bad about my friend, but you’re not certain it’s true. You may still pass the test though, because there’s one filter left – the filter of Usefulness. Is what you want to tell me about my friend going to be useful to me?” “No, not really.” “Well,” concluded the wise man, “if what you want to tell me IS neither true, nor good, nor even useful, why tell it to me at all?”
God’s Word shares with you that… the tongue IS a fire, a world of iniquity. The tongue is SO set among the members that it defiles the whole body, and sets on fire the course of nature. That no man can tame the tongue. It IS an unruly evil, full of deadly poison. With it you bless your Heavenly Father, and with it curse others, who have been made in the likeness of God. Out of the same mouth proceed blessing and cursing. That these things ought not be so. No spring yields both salt water and fresh…. God’s Word also shares…For where envy and self-seeking exist, confusion and every evil thing are there. But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, willing to yield, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality and without hypocrisy. Now the fruit of righteousness IS sown in peace by those who make peace.

North Carolina city removes sculpture of soldier kneeling before cross

“Until a few days ago, a war memorial in a public park in North Carolina included a metal sculpture depicting a soldier kneeling in prayer before a cross. But city officials voted to remove the sculpture to settle a lawsuit claiming the artwork promoted Christianity.”-From Fox News

“Whoever acknowledges me before others, I will also acknowledge before my Father in heaven. 33 But whoever disowns me before others, I will disown before my Father in heaven.” -From Mathew 10:32 & 33

Jesus on the Cross

Heaven is for real, but the gate is narrow.

man praying at sunsetThe Narrow and Wide Gates

13 “Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. 14 But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it.”-Matthew 7:13

This is a verse that is being taught by many leading preachers throughout the country right now.   It means that only a “few” find the “gate” that leads to Heaven.

It’s a difficult verse for many of us because we can’t help but think of all of the people that we care about, people that we like, who may not find the “gate”.

So what do we do?

We share our faith in Christ and we pray.  And we put our trust in God.  For God loves us more than we can ever imagine.  And not only does God loves us, God loves all people, including those that we know and care about it.  And at the end of the day-that is going to count for more than anything else.

Heaven is for real, but the “gate” is narrow.  Don’t miss it; share it.

With God All Things Are Possible,
