How Jesus Loves Us!

 

“If I speak in the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I am a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal.  And if I have prophetic powers, and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have all faith, so as to remove mountains, but have not love, I am nothing. If I give away all I have, and if I deliver up my body to be burned, but have not love, I gain nothing.

Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; it does not rejoice at wrongdoing, but rejoices with the truth.  Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Love never ends.“-1 Corinthisans 13

Earthly love always seems to be based on performance. Even with those who love us the most, there is a minimum behavior that is expected.

But this is not the way of Jesus. He loves us no matter what we do. And He will never leave us. We could be a drug addict laying in the gutter; we could be the most selfish, evil person in existance, we could have rejected Him until our dying breath and then accepted Him, and He would still love us. And He would still be with us forever. That’s how much Jesus loves us!

And we who believe in Jesus spend our whole lives learning and trying to love like Jesus does. Because that is what it is all about 🙂
