Do We Panic Or Do We Trust God?

Many want President Trump to stay President because they believe they will be safer.  But the Truth is, only God Himself can keep us safe!

After January 20th, if it is God’s Will and Purpose, there will be a new president and not one that many True Christians would choose.  But “our hope, our help, comes from Lord”.  And that “hope and help” will still come.  Because God will still be our God and He loves us.

President Trump was a great President.  With God’s help, he held off the forces of evil and gave our country more time.  A precious gift.

But President Trump is NOT God and he knows that!

When January 20th comes and goes, there may be many who are disappointed that Trump is not President any longer.  A sad day for our country and the world.

But this is where and when we especially need to trust our Lord.  Pray.  Call upon God.  But realize that God’s Plans may not be the same as yours.  If you have read the Bible, you know that it was always going to get a bit bumpy.  Prepare, both spiritually and physically.  Watch. Pray.  Because that is what we can do.  Be Ready.

We all need something specific to do during these difficult times.  I heard a woman talking on Christian radio that I thought had some very good advice. She was listening to the news, but it upset her so much and she turned it off.  She decided right then and there to focus only  on what she could control.  She could control how much she prayed, so she prayed that she and those she loved would focus only on Jesus and grow in their faith.  She could control, with God’s Help, how often she shared her faith with others. She decided to make her home as welcoming and cozy as possible, and so she looked up new recipes, cleaned the house, did the laundry and made her home as cozy as possible.  In other words, she did everything she could to make her home a respite from the world.  And she read God’s Word and asked the Holy Spirit to lead her in planting God’s Word in her heart.  That is what she could do, and wisely, she stuck to that.

The next week may be a difficult, but “With God Everything Is Possible” ?

Do Not Be Afraid!

“I told you these things so that you can have peace in me. In this world, you will have trouble, but be brave! I have defeated the world.”-Jesus-John 16:33

“The Lord is your keeper; the Lord is your shade on your right hand.  The sun shall not strike you by day, nor the moon by night.  The Lord will keep you from all evil; he will keep your life.  The Lord will keep your going out and your coming in from this time forth and forevermore.”-Psalm 121:5-8

We all get afraid sometimes. Sometimes we have a definite reason to fear: someone we love is sick or hurt; we don’t know where our next paycheck is coming from; someone threatens us or someone we love, the news…

Sometimes our fear comes from a place we do not know. Although there is nothing specific, anxiety seems to rule the day.

Memorizing the two verses above will help either way. Hold them in your heart to “light your way”. To comfort you when times are tough.

And know that God’s Got This and He Loves Us More Than We Can Ever Imagine. God Will Not Let Us Down 🙂

Seek God’s Truth, Not The World’s

So many are running as fast as they can and jumping off the cliff-into the abyss. Only The Holy Spirit can help to take off the blinders that Satan has put over the eyes of some and see God’s Truth. And God’s Truth is the only Truth that matters!

So what is God’s Truth. The same as it has always been. Love God with your whole heart and soul, and love one another! God’s Truth has not changed.

God sent His only Son to Save us. But He has also given us the freedom to choose-choose wisely.

In Matthew 24:24 it says, “For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.”

And this deceit can spread even to our daily lives.

There is only one way to protect ourselves. Accept Jesus as our Savior and pray that the Holy Spirit will allow us to see the Truth.

Now and always 🙂

It Is Time For The Harvest :)

“Whoever sows to please their flesh, from the flesh will reap destruction; whoever sows to please the Spirit, from the Spirit will reap eternal life.”-Galatians 6:8

“Then he said to his disciples, “The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few.  Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field.”-Matthew 9:37-38

Be a “worker”, your “reward” will last forever 🙂

Be Courageous & Be Cautious!

“Verily I say unto you, It shall be more tolerable for the land of Sodom and Gomorrha in the day of judgment, than for that city.

Behold, I send you forth as sheep in the midst of wolves: be ye therefore wise as serpents, and harmless as doves.

But beware of men: for they will deliver you up to the councils, and they will scourge you in their synagogues; – Matthew 10:15-17

Jesus gave us good advice for the times we are about to live through. Be Courageous and Be Cautious. For evil hates good, just as darkness hates the light.

But be wise. Before acting, we need to ask ourselves, is this worth it? If we can no longer be the Mother, Father, Sister, Brother…that we want to be, will this have been worth it?

Some things are worth it. Sharing the Gospel, Following Christ, Worshipping God, Praying, Protecting the minds and hearts of our children…The list is endless…

But some things are not always worth it. Winning a debate, convincing someone you are right, money, a job…Think of it like this, can we take it home to Heaven with us?

Today, sharing Christ’s Good News and the Bible is the most important thing we can do. If we want a loved one to be “Saved”, this is the way to save them because Jesus loves every human being more than we can even begin to imagine.

Sharing that is worth dieing for 🙂

The “War” Is Already Won; Be At Peace!

The Battle Belongs To God!

We need to take a stand against evil, but we need to do that by following Christ’s example. Be at Peace, Love God With Our Whole Hearts and Souls and Love One Another. And Pray Fervantly.

In John 18:10-11, it says “Then Simon Peter drew his sword and struck the servant of the high priest, cutting off his right ear. The servant’s name was Malchus. 11“Put your sword back in its sheath!” Jesus said to Peter. “Shall I not drink the cup the Father has given Me?” 12Then the band of soldiers, with its commander and the officers of the Jews, arrested Jesus and bound Him.…”

He told Peter to stand down.

Jesus was being arrested and bound. He was to hang in agony on the Cross until He was dead.

But Jesus rose from the dead. And because He did, we are all going to Heaven forever :).

He told Peter to stand down, because “His Kingdom was not of this world”, it was of the “next”. (Jesus said, “My kingdom is not of this world. If it were, my servants would fight to prevent my arrest by the Jewish leaders. But now my kingdom is from another place.” – John 18:36)

We live in extremely difficult times. And we do need to “take a stand” with Christ. But the best way to “take a stand” is to share the Gospel, Pray and love God with our whole hearts and souls, and love each other.

Despite appearances, Jesus had already won then, and now!

Let our legacy be that we loved like Jesus, no matter the cost 🙂

My Friends, Be At Peace :)

“How Could I Be Silent” is the name of a song by Nathan Tyler. How fitting for today!

“The lines between Heaven and Earth getting blurred.” is also in the song. And that is exactly what we need today. We need to grow so close to Christ that we have one foot in Heaven and one foot on earth.

We need to be so filled with the Holy Spirit that we can see the truth of the world around us.

We need to grow so close to our Father, that we are filled with the Peace that only He can give.

Christ is Risen! The war is already one! Be at Peace my friends 🙂

The Calm Before The Storm :)

Remember when Jesus came?  So many wanted Him to fix THIS world.  The Romans were taxing the people unfairly (not to mention too heavily).  The people were greatly persecuted.  For many years, Mary and Joseph had to raise Jesus basically on the run for their lives. The rulers were rich; the people were poor.  Very poor.  The “people” lived in a time of despair and persecution.  And that is not even the worst of it!

Enter Jesus.  Some of the people thought that the “Savior” would “fix” the world on earth, but Jesus came to show us the way to Heaven.  To pay the price for our sins, so we would not have to.

But for some, that was not enough.  They wanted Jesus to “fix” their current world. And so, sadly, they rejected Jesus.

“Remember what I told you: ‘A servant is not greater than his master.’ If they persecuted me, they will persecute you also. If they obeyed my teaching, they will obey yours also.”-John 15:20

Flash forward to today’s world.  Jesus didn’t come to fix our current world either.  He came to show us the way to Heaven and to pay the price for our sins.  And Thank God He did ?

The road is about to get very bumpy for those who truly follow Christ.  But Jesus will be with us, loving and supporting us, through every minute.  Do not fear, for no power on this earth can take Heaven from us.
