Trusting God Takes Practice

Trusting God takes practice.  Sometimes we look around our lives and it seems as if there is nothing but trouble.  But that is when we need to pray and trust God the most.  Without “troubles”, trust can not grow.  So if we are facing tough times, lets remember that God uses those times to allow us to  practice trusting Him 🙂

And God always uses our “troubles” to our good and God always keeps His promises!   🙂

Faith, Hope & Love

Hope.  “Our hope, indeed our help, comes from the Lord”

Faith.  “Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

Love.  Our Lord Jesus’ greatest commandment.  “You shall love your Lord God with all of your heart, and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.”  The second is this “Love your neighbor as yourself”..

With all of these, as With God, All Things Are Possible 🙂

When Times Are Tough…

We all suffer through tough times.  Perhaps it is an illness, perhaps a job loss, perhaps the loss of someone or something we loved.  Perhaps it is someone we love who is suffering.  But either way, we are hurting and we can’t help but ask, “Where is God”.  But Jesus did not leave, He is right here with us.

Being Christian does not mean we will not hurt or suffer.  It simply means Jesus will walk through it with us.  And believe me, I would rather walk through tough times with Jesus-than without…

Don’t Ever Stop Praying!

Funny how the better something is for us, the more we find ways not to do it!  Praying for me is like breathing, it’s just part of me.  And perhaps the best part of me.  But it wasn’t always so.

Prayer is what connects us to our Lord.  And whether we are praising, thanking, pleading or just sharing our day with God, it all matters.  And it’s all good.   For prayer is a way of sharing our lives with God.

For Prayer, as Mathew West says in his song, Forgiveness, helps us “to love the unloveable and reach the unreachable”.

And when we are facing difficult times, the need for prayer becomes so easy to see, but we need to see it as clearly on our good days as well!
