So Where In The Bible Are We?

¹⁴ “Therefore, son of man, prophesy, and say to Gog, Thus says the Lord God: On that day when my people Israel are dwelling securely, will you not know it? ¹⁵ You will come from your place out of the uttermost parts of the north, you and many peoples with you, all of them riding on horses, a great host, a mighty army. ¹⁶ You will come up against my people Israel, like a cloud covering the land. In the latter days I will bring you against my land, that the nations may know me, when through you, O Gog, I vindicate my holiness before their eyes.” – Ezekiel 38:14

We all know that we are living in the “latter days”. But what we don’t know is how long they may be.

My personal belief is that we are living in a time where the stage is “being set”. I agree with the comments made by Joel Rosenberg. We know that at some point Turkey, Russia and Iran will make alliances. Just as we know that there will be a final war against Israel, where Israel will have no earthly allies, but God will truly intervene in favor of Israel and save His Chosen People! But we don’t know when that will happen.

However, it may be that the stage is also being set in Israel. Israel must be at peace for a while prior to the Final War. And while that never seemed possible before, perhaps now it will be.

Granted that peace may be temporary. But I see that Peace, temporary though it might be, as an opportunity. A time given to allow us to Follow Jesus even more closely. To pray more unselfishly. And to truly repent!

For when that World War comes, and it will, we will need to be ready!
