Warning: To All Those Who Teach!

“And the word of the Lord came to me, saying, “Son of man, prophesy against the shepherds of Israel, prophesy and say to them, ‘Thus says the Lord God to the shepherds: “Woe to the shepherds of Israel who feed themselves! Should not the shepherds feed the flocks?” – Ezekiel 34:1-2

We read the phrase “feed the flock” often in the Bible. We hear Jesus say, “feed my flock”. But is that what every church is doing today? Or are some churches refusing to “feed their flock” and instead feeding them whatever is popular -no matter how sinful! How many of those we love have been lost because a preacher led them astray and reassured them that their sinful choices were acceptable to God when they were not?

“Woe to the shepherds who destroy and scatter the sheep of My pasture!” says the Lord.” – Jeremiah 23:1

May they all turn back to the Lord and Teach God’s Truth while they still can!

Happy Mother’s Day Mary :)

I often think of Mary with awe! Although we often talk of Jesus’ sacrifice, we don’t talk of Mary’s nearly enough.

As a Mom, I can’t even imagine the horror and pain she endured watching her Son dying on that Cross.  A million thoughts must have raced through her mind and heart.  That she didn’t simply collapse is a testament to her courage and faith, her love for Jesus, as well as our Father’s strength and the Holy Spirit’s Comfort.  It’s was a miracle in and of itself!

Personally, I know I would have collapsed.  Just as I know I would have begged our Father not to allow my Son to die, especially in such a horrific way.  But that was not Jesus’ Will.  He came to save us from our sin, no matter the cost.

Instead, Mary gave Jesus what He needed most, Her love and her strength, and Her faith in our Father’s Will.  Mary trusted our Father.  She knew God’s ways were, and are, “higher than our ways”. And I am sure she prayed for Jesus! For Mary knew just how important prayer was and is!

Mary gave God Her all and trusted God with the outcome…and that is what we need to do!

As a Mom, the sheer horror of watching my Son crucified would have broken me, but it didn’t break Mary.  Because Her love for Jesus and was that pure and that strong.  And that love helped Her to overcome all.  And for that alone, I will always be grateful to Mary.  Just as I will always hope to be more like her!

Too often, modern day churches seem to argue about Mary’s role in the “church”.  But the truth is – there really is no need for we are all the “church”

Mary was Jesus’ Mother and one of the best role models we will ever have.  By Her sacrifice alone, she has not only proven Her love for our Father, His Son Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit, but for each of us as well.

And Jesus loves Mary so very much too, as only a Son can love His Mother.

As for the confusion of “praying to Our Blessed Mother Mary”.  It is not that we are “praying to Mary”, but rather we are asking Mary to pray for us!  And why would we not?

Mary is in Heaven with God and I talk with her every day!  Sometimes simply to thank Her for all she sacrificed for us.  And sometimes to ask her to pray for me or others.  And I know she does, because She loves each of us.

Mary has enriched my faith and brought me great joy and peace!  She can do the same for you. Happy Mother’s Day Mary, and thank you!

God Is Always Fair!

“Yet the children of your people say, ‘The way of the Lord is not fair.’ But it is their way which is not fair! When the righteous turns from his righteousness and commits iniquity, he shall die because of it.  But when the wicked turns from his wickedness and does what is lawful and right, he shall live because of it. Yet you say, ‘The way of the Lord is not fair.’ O house of Israel, I will judge every one of you according to his own ways.” – Ezekiel 33:17-20

God is ALWAYS fair! Truly, whether we go to Heaven depends on the choices we make ourselves. We all have the same ability to make a choice to put our faith in Jesus and to do what is right.

It doesn’t matter where or how we live, as long as we are alive; we can still choose Christ.

Do Not Fear!

“O Israel, trust in the Lord: he is their help and their shield” – Psalm 113:9

There are a lot of scarey things going on in the world today, for all of us. The state of the country, the state of the world. And sometimes our fears are more personal, our jobs, our health, someone we love needs help, the rising cost of everything!

But our “Help comes from the Lord”. And our Lord is far more powerful than any power on earth-or anywhere else for that matter. And the Lord loves us with the kind of love that is always faithful! His Love never leaves; never lessens; is always there for us.

Do not fear, for our Lord is with us 🙂

Saving Your Soul!

Nevertheless, if thou warn the wicked of his way to turn from it; if he do not turn from his way, he shall die in his iniquity; but thou hast delivered thy soul.” – Ezekiel 33:9

There is a trend lately. A bad trend. Our society fears to hurt anyone’s feelings or offend anyone. And yet, if we don’t share the truth, God’s Truth, with those we love; they may well fall-permanently.

While it’s true that many, and perhaps all, of those that we share God’s Truth with may refuse to hear it, we will still have done the right thing. Because when we love someone, we tell them the TRUTH-GOD’S TRUTH!

And remember, Truth by it’s very nature has only one Truth! Just as there is only one God 🙂

God’s Mercy Is Everlasting For Those Who Fear Him!

“For as the heaven is high above the earth, so great is his mercy toward them that fear him. As far as the east is from the west, so far hath he removed our transgressions from us.  Like as a father pitieth his children, so the Lord pitieth them that fear him.” Psalm 103:11-13

“For he knoweth our frame; he remembereth that we are dust. As for man, his days are as grass: as a flower of the field, so he flourisheth. For the wind passeth over it, and it is gone; and the place thereof shall know it no more. But the mercy of the Lord is from everlasting to everlasting upon them that fear him, and his righteousness unto children’s children;” -Psalm 103:14-17

These are verses that we need to “hide in our heart” forever. Especially that His Mercy is from “everlasting to everlasting”.

And know, God understands our struggles and He loves us.

The Tunnels

While praying the Rosary, I saw the Tunnels in the Temple in Israel. And then I saw modern day soldiers in the Tunnels.

“The Tunnels are, in fact, an underground system that constitutes a continuous chain of history, from the Hasmoneans until today. They were created through a large number of arches, which were built side by side and supported by staircases connecting the city with the Temple Mount.” – I Travel Jerusalem

The Roadmap :)

“And if your right hand causes you to sin, cut it off and cast it from you; for it is more profitable for you that one of your members perish, than for your whole body to be cast into hell.” – Matthew 5:30

So often, we want to share Christ with those who do not truly believe. And by that, I mean those who do not believe the Bible is True. For one can not believe in Jesus, but discount the Bible’s Teachings. It doesn’t work like that.

While it is an awesome gift to reach out to those who do not believe, we should only do that if our own faith can stand up to that task. Otherwise, we should stay among our fellow believers and work for their good 🙂

It’s easy to let those who do not believe in the Bible’s Teachings to plant seeds of doubt. They often do so with phrases such as, “We just want to love and accept everyone. Isn’t that what Jesus would do?”

But the Truth is, this is not what Jesus would do. Jesus made it very clear. While He loves us so much, we are not to sin and certain behaviors are NOT accepted. We don’t get to “make the rules”, God does!

And God makes “the rules” to protect us. Just as we “make rules” for our own children. We don’t want them to put their hands on a hot stove, because we don’t want them to be burned. We don’t want them to run in front of a car, because they might get hurt. And we don’t want them to skip reading the Bible because taking the time to know and understand their faith is important!

God is the same way. He knows what choices will truly bring us happiness and peace. And bring us Home to Heaven. Because He loves us, He wants us to bring us Home and have happiness and peace in this life!

Thank you God for Loving us so Completely!

The White Horse

11 And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war.

12 His eyes were as a flame of fire, and on his head were many crowns; and he had a name written, that no man knew, but he himself.

13 And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God.

14 And the armies which were in heaven followed him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean.

15 And out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations: and he shall rule them with a rod of iron: and he treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God.

16 And he hath on his vesture and on his thigh a name written, King Of Kings, And Lord Of Lords.”-Revelations 19:11-16

Sin does not escape God’s notice; His Justice will prevail.

While praying the Rosary, I saw the White Horse running riderless in a field.
