Shades Of Gray

The world may try to convince us that there is no true “right and wrong”. Some in our government and media may indeed believe that all actions are justified; that there are many shades of gray. But this is not true!

One has only to pick up God’s Word and read it, to understand that there are indeed absolute “right and wrongs”. And Jesus was absolutely clear in all that He said and taught us. Our God is not a God of confusion.

We can, and should, have compassion for those who fall short of God’s Commands. In fact, we should have that same compassion for ourselves. But we don’t get to deny that we have fallen short.

There is something we can do though. We can ask God to forgive us in the Name of Jesus Christ. Jesus suffered on the Cross so that we might be forgiven. Other than blaspheming the Holy Spirit, while we are alive, there is no sin that Jesus will not forgive.

But when we die, our time will be ended and we will be Judged. Our name will be in the Book of Life, or it won’t. We will go to Heaven, or we won’t.

Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven.  On that day many will say to me, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and cast out demons in your name, and do many mighty works in your name?’ 23 And then will I declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from me, you workers of lawlessness.’” – Jesus speaking in Matthew 7:21-23

“But nothing unclean will ever enter it, nor anyone who does what is detestable or false, but only those who are written in the Lamb’s book of life.”-Revelation 21:27

I am so grateful that Jesus came so that our sins might be forgiven. So that our sins might be as “far as the east is from the west”. Jesus gave us a great Gift, but that Gift needs to be accepted. If we want Jesus to forgive us our sins so that we might go to Heaven, then we need to Accept Jesus and Follow Jesus home 🙂

Darkness!

“For behold, the darkness shall cover the earth and gross darkness the people; but the Lord shall arise upon you, and His glory shall be seen upon you.” – Isaiah 60:2

What is darkness really? Is is so many things: war, poverty, persuading others to hate one another, manipulating the people to do wrong, the media reporting that which they know not to be true, it’s the government ignoring its own laws, it’s lawlessness, it’s the rise of transgenderism and gay marriage, it’s abortion, it’s teachers and parents who not only fail to protect the innocence of our youth, but pervert it! It’s the rise of the occult and witchcraft. And that names just a few!

Where evil flourishes, darkness grows.

And make no mistake, we are either pursuing good or we are pursuing evil. We are growing in our relationship with Jesus, or we are falling away.

However, no matter where we are, the only way to protect ourselves and our families, is to ask God for Help. And God will Help us, because He loves us ?

Life may not be easy, but it will be worth it!

Have We Gone Astray?

“All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the Lord hath laid on him the iniquity of us all.” – Isaiah53:6

Have we gone “astray”? It seems our nation has. Indeed, many in the world have. But we can turn back. We can ask Jesus to be our Savior and Repent.

Jesus died and rose again so that we too might live! But in order to do that we must first accept Jesus’s Great Gift and Repent!

Choosing Idols Over God

For thus saith the LORD, Ye have sold yourselves for nought; and ye shall be redeemed without money.”-Isaiah 52:3

Unfortunately, many have chosen idols over God, both many years ago, and now.

But we are redeemed, not through our own efforts, but through the efforts and sacrifice of Jesus Christ!

How Blessed and Loved are we 🙂

God’s Commandments

“Inasmuch as I lifted you out of the dust and made you ruler over My people Israel, and you have walked in the way of Jeroboam, and have made My people Israel sin, to provoke Me to anger with their sins, surely I will take away the posterity of Baasha and the posterity of his house, and I will make your house like the house of Jeroboam the son of Nebat.” 1 Kings 16:2-3

Jeroboam was a sinner who led the people of Israel to sin. He created an idol to worship (a golden calf) and actually engraved “Yhwh” on it. So he not only created an idol, he tried to name it God. And sadly, many in Israel followed him.

Is not a similar event happening in America? Are there not those who are trying to call “evil good and good evil”? Are there not those who are trying to claim that all religions are true, when the only way to Heaven is through Jesus Christ? Are there not those who are preaching that sinful behavior is actually good behavior and that any and all gods lead to Heaven? How sad for those who follow them.

The first commandments that God us gave make His Will known:

Thou shalt have no other gods before me.”

Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth. Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the Lord thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me; And shewing mercy unto thousands of them that love me, and keep my commandments.”-Exodus 20:3-6

Jesus’ coming did not replace these Commandments!

Warning: God’s Judgement

“For I will no longer have pity on the inhabitants of this land, declares the Lord. Behold, I will cause each of them to fall into the hand of his neighbor, and each into the hand of his king, and they shall crush the land, and I will deliver none from their hand.”-Zechariah 11:6

God’s Judgement will come, for the only thing needed for God’s Judgement to occur is for God to remove His Hand of Protection.

The Rosary

Someone once asked me, “Why do I pray the Rosary?”. There are a lot of reasons that I pray the Rosary, but a very important reason is that Mary, Our Blessed Mother, always brings us closer to Her Son Jesus. She points the way to Jesus and prays for us as we go.

I find praying the Rosary also gives me a lot of Peace. I worry less :). The Lord is with Mary; and He loves Her. She is His Mother. And the Rosary, all Rosaries, begin with the Cross 🙂

Much of the Rosary is actually in the Bible. It begins with the Our Father, the prayer our Lord Jesus Christ taught us. (Matthew 6:9-13)

Much of the Hail Mary is also in the Bible: Diocese of Brooklyn and the University of Dayton are just two sources you can read more about this on line.

When I think back to when Mary was on earth, caring for Jesus, loving Him as only a Mother can, I stand in awe. To be charged with raising the Son of God! Wow! To stand at His Cross, hurting with Him and for Him, but Trusting God. The Love and Trust that Mary had in God, Her willingness to obey God no matter what the cost, are simply amazing 🙂

I know that God would have picked the most loving Mother for His Son possible, and the most obedient! And to think She loves us! We are indeed Blessed 🙂

The Gray Horse: A Warning

While praying to Mary, Our Blessed Mother, I saw a gray horse.

So I looked, and behold, a pale horse. And the name of him who sat on it was Death, and Hades followed with him. And power was given to them over a fourth of the earth, to kill with sword, with hunger, with death, and by the beasts of the earth.”-Revelation 6:8

There are those who find it hard to accept God’s Warnings. But God warns us because He loves us. God doesn’t ever want us to suffer and so He warns us so that we can follow Jesus and go Home to Heaven!
