Serving God :)

Am I now trying to win the approval of human beings, or of God? Or am I trying to please people? If I were still trying to please people, I would not be a servant of Christ.”-Galatians 1:10

This is a struggle we all share. When we go out to dinner, when we choose a TV program to watch, when we speak with each other…the list is endless!

So what do we do? We pray :). We ask the Holy Spirit to “nudge” us anytime we are choosing an earthly path instead of a Godly path 🙂

And if we need help to change or leave the situation; we ask God to Help us!

And He will be pleased that we did!

We all wanted to be loved, but we need to make sure that we care more about God’s Love, than about people’s love.

Making Godly choices is part of serving God and we need to make Godly choices!

How To Keep Our Faith Strong: Prayer

“One day Jesus was praying in a certain place. When he finished, one of his disciples said to him, “Lord, teach us to pray, just as John taught his disciples.”

“He said to them, “When you pray, say”:

“‘Father, hallowed be your name, your kingdom come.
Give us each day our daily bread. Forgive us our sins,
for we also forgive everyone who sins against us.
And lead us not into temptation'”-Luke 11:1-4

Prayer is the anchor of strong faith. And whether we feel God’s Heavenly Presence or not, we need prayer like we need the air that we breathe. So our goal: is to Pray like we breathe 🙂

Someone once asked me how it was that my faith stayed so strong. And the answer was, and is, prayer and God’s Gift.

We can ask God to give us the Gift of Faith, and He will. And He will be pleased that we asked Him :). This Gift can only be given by God Himself. But we can ask :). And if we don’t see immediate results, we can keep asking and we can keep praying!

The other answer is Prayer. Years ago, my Dad taught me to keep praying, whether I felt like it or not. Whether I felt that God was there-or not. This lesson has stood me in good stead. Sometimes I pray passionately, sometimes I just share with God about my day. The things that I am grateful for and the things that I worry about. And He is always happy to hear from me :). Sometimes I either don’t feel that He is listening or answering the way I wish, it is in these times I need to pray most of all. Sometimes it’s an Our Father, sometimes it’s a Hail Mary, sometimes its a Glory Be To God. For there are times where I simply can’t find the words, but I keep praying anyway 🙂

So please, never stop praying. And one very important prayer: Please God, if I ever fail to hold onto You, please hold on to me 🙂

And lastly, I always end my prayers with God’s Will Be Done. For I know that God loves me and wants the best for me. And I trust that He knows better than I do what is good for me. For I only know my todays and my yesterdays, God knows all of my tomorrows 🙂

Faith is not about how we feel every day, it’s about who we choose to follow every day 🙂

Follow Jesus 🙂

Our Lady Of Lourdes

While praying the Rosary, I saw a single soldier with a black protective vest and black glasses.

Yesterday, we celebrated and remembered the appearances of Mary, Our Blessed Mother, to St. Bernadette. Millions still travel to France to pray to Our Blessed Mother, Our Lady of Lourdes, and drink from the fountain in the grotto. Many are healed.

The Two Boxes

A good friend sent me this, I just had to share 🙂

Once upon a time, God gave one of His Children two boxes to hold – one black and one gold. He said, “Put all your sorrows in the black box, and all your joys into the gold.” His Child followed His Voice, and in the two boxes both their joys and sorrows they stored. But though the gold box became heavier each day, the black box was as light as before. With curiosity, they opened the black box because they wanted to find out why. With amazement they saw, in the base of the black box, a hole which their sorrows had fallen out by. They showed the hole to their Heavenly Father and asked, “Where could my sorrows possibly be?” He smiled a Gentle, Loving, Caring smile and said, “My Child, they’re here with me.” They asked God why He gave them the boxes – why the gold and black with the hole? God responded, “My Child, the gold IS for you to count My Blessings to you – the black IS for you to let go!”

Truly, only your Father IS able to place a hole in your box of sorrows. Only He IS able to take your sorrows from you – to make your burdens light. God makes His Promise to you that He IS Willing to take ALL that you have in your black box – your fears, your worries, EVERYTHING that the world attempts to crush you with! Do NOT hesitate to take Him up on His Offer – to Redeem and Refresh you! No ocean can hold it back. No river can overtake it. No whirlwind can go faster. No army can defeat it. No law can stop it. No distance can slow it. No disease or health issue can cripple it. No force on earth IS more Powerful or Effective – than the Power of Prayer!!

My thoughts and prayers are that you follow His Voice – let go and let God! That you go to Him in fervent prayer – asking Him to send His Helper, His Holy Spirit – to guide you towards Him for an Intimate Relationship, now and forever. That you share Him with others! In Jesus’ Name. Thy Will be done. Amen. Peace.

God’s Got Us :)

“We know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.:”-Romans 8:28

In dark times, bad things happen. Sometimes bad things happen to good people or even those we love. But it is important to remember two things. One, God will always find a way to work any bad situation to the “good of those who have been called according to his purpose.”

There is something else that is really important to remember. Those who believe in Jesus Christ and put their Trust in Jesus will go to Heaven no matter what! There is no power on this earth or anywhere else that can stop us from going to Heaven to be with Jesus and each other!

“The LORD is faithful to all his promises and loving toward all he has made.”-Psalm 145:13

The Warning

While Praying the Rosary, I saw a number of nuns tending to the wounded near the Western Wall in Israel. Sometimes they lifted up their faces, clearly in prayer, as if they were waiting for something.

I also saw a group of people gathered together near a corner of a stone wall for shelter. The wall had been blown out and all that remained was the corner.

This Is What Hope Looks Like :)

“The sun shall no longer be your light by day, Nor for brightness shall the moon give light to you; But the Lord will be to you an everlasting light,
And your God your glory.”-Isaiah 60:19

This is what Hope looks like. Someday, we will be in Heaven together. Where there will be no more worry and no more pain. Just Joy and Perfect Peace. Friends and Laughter. There will be no more rushing, because there will be no more time. So there will be no more calendars and no more deadlines.

We will be with our Lord and each other. Forever.

Do Not Fear! God IS With Us :)

“Violence shall no more be heard in thy land, wasting nor destruction within thy borders; but thou shalt call thy walls Salvation, and thy gates Praise.”

We’ve all worried about the future of our country. Will there be war in our future? It’s kind of looking that way…

But God does promise us that one day there will be no more violence in our land, so there is always Hope :). And God Always Keeps His Promises!

We Need To Share Our Faith In Jesus :)

Thank You!

“Less than two percent of believers in this country ever share their fait in Christ with others.”

Dr. Bill Bright, Born in 1921, Founder Of Campus Crusade For Christ

Can you imagine? Even in 1921, only 2% of Americans were sharing their faith in Christ. And we wonder why America is in so much trouble!

We need to share our faith today! Tomorrow and All the days of our lives :). We can’t be Ready any other way!
