“The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves the crushed in spirit.” – Psalm 34:18
Will those who so deperately need the love of Christ, see Jesus in us. Or will they be afraid of us? If we want to be like Jesus, should we not be close to the “brokenhearted”?
There is hurting all around us. Brokenhearted people who we don’t even notice. The lost, the hungry, the poor, the lonely…Will we listen to their story? Will we feed them?
Will we reach them with Christ’s Love? Will we encourage and help them? Will we hug and welcome them as our brothers and sisters in Christ? Will we listen to their story?
Or will we keep walking???

There is no greater gift than the one that those who serve in our law enforcement give. It matters not whether they serve in our local police departments, the FBI, ICE or our military. They all risk their lives to keep us safe.
And yet so often, they are unjustly criticized and ridiculed. This is NOT what Jesus would do. Because Jesus loves each of them. And He loves their families. And so should we.
We need to love them and be grateful for their selfless courage and sacrifice. For if not for them, we would all suffer-alot. Afterall, who is it that we call when there is a disaster like September 11th or when we are in danger of any kind?
But it’s not just the members of law enforcement that we need to love and encourage, it’s their families.
For each one of them pays a price for all that their loved one risks. Everyday, they must worry if their husband or wife will come home safely. As their children grow, they also start to worry. And as they say good-bye to the one they love, they know that they may never see them again. They know, that even if they live, they may come home wounded. Perhaps dreadfully so.
How many of us would do that for a complete, and sometimes unappreciative stranger?
We need to pray for each of these brave souls. We need to encourage and thank them. And we need to love them like Jesus does.

Playful grandfather spending time with his grandson in park on sunny day
“He has shown you, O man, what is good; And what does the Lord require of you But to do justly, To love mercy, And to walk humbly with your God?”
There is no doubt that Justice will come. But Justice belongs to God.
What belongs to us? Mercy. How many times do we walk past someone in pain. The homeless and suffering. A mother who struggles to work and care for her children, but finds herself just stretched too thin. There is the father who works so very hard to provide for his family, but, through no fault of his own, is failing. The brokenhearted…
There is the immigrant who came here to provide their children with a better life. A chance. And if we are honest, if our children were in trouble, we would do the same thing. They speak very little English and yet they found the courage to come here for their children’s sake. How often do we walk by them without even a smile of encouragement?
So often, we don’t even see the hurting and broken hearted. But we can ask Jesus to show them to us and then pray for the courage and strength to be there for them. To give them the hug, encouragement and compassion they so desperately need.
“He has shown you, O man, what is good; And what does the Lord require of you But to do justly, To love mercy, And to walk humbly with your God?”

“Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.” – Hebrews 11:1
Trusting God seems like such a big ask. After all, it’s not like we can see God. How do we trust something we can not even see?
The answer is that we look back. Because when we look back on our lives, we can SEE all the times God answered our prayers, all the the times He walked through our troubles with us, and all the times He shared His Peace with us.
And When we look back upon our lives, we can SEE just how present God was, and still is 🙂
“For with God nothing shall be impossible.” – Luke 1:37
Prayer not only connects us to our Lord; it makes us feel connected and this is so important!
There are so many distractions in our lives, in our world. We need to be sure that we are taking some time out of our day to focus on what matters most: God.
For when we focus on Jesus,
“I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” – Philippians 4:13
Communism is on the rise. Even in our own country, millions want it. But it does not work on this earth; it never will. However, what it is known for is the repression of freedom and faith in Jesus Christ.
Sadly, there are many examples of Communism in our world. For example, one has only to think of how Christians in China have often been persecuted and imprisoned.
France, in 1947, had a large and popular communist party. They actually won 30 percent of the vote in the 1946 elections. In 1947, on the Feast of the Immaculate Conception of the Virgin Mary, Our Blessed Mother appeared to 4 girls in France and She led them in prayer! She also led them in prayer during the days that followed. Mary led the girls and the girls led larger and larger groups in prayer. Communism in France and the Strike ended.
We, each one of us, can pray the Rosary if we choose. It’s a choice. Please pray the Rosary for our country!
One of the most important things to remember is that as long as a person is alive, it is not too late for them to accept Jesus and go to Heaven.
It doesn’t matter what they have done, or how they look, or even how they lived or who they hurt or how much they hurt them, or themselves. Jesus loves them and our Daddy will just be really happy they chose to come Home 🙂
Because no matter how lost, God loves them, He really loves them!
Through Lucia and her friends, Mary, Our Blessed Mother, warned us of many things in 1917.
She warned us of hell and just how horrible it was. She warned us of just what would happen if we kept on sinning. She warned us that we had already “offended” God too much. And yet, here we are.
She warned us that we have a great need to repent! And that was then! She warned us that if we did not repent, we would “perish”. But She also reminded us of just how much Jesus loved us and wanted to forgive us!
She also warned us about war. She said,“This war will end,” Our Lady of Fatima told the children in July, “but if men do not refrain from offending God, another and more terrible war will begin.” Many felt that Mary was referring to WWI and WWII. But was She was also warning us of WWIII?
This world has certainly not repented!
And She warned us of Russia: “If my requests are heeded, Russia will be converted, and there will be peace; if not, she will spread her errors throughout the world, causing wars and persecutions of the Church. The good will be martyred; the Holy Father will have much to suffer; various nations will be annihilated.”. Many of us know that Mary, Our Blessed Mother warned us through Lucia that Russia must be consecrated to Her Immaculate Heart, but this was not done.
Through the years, Jesus and Mary Our Blessed Mother asked through Lucia that Russia be consecrated to Mary’s Immaculate Heart by the Pope and all the Bishops of the world.
“If My requests are heeded, Russia will be converted, and there will be peace; if not, she will spread her errors throughout the world, causing wars and persecutions of the Church. The good will be martyred, the Holy Father will have much to suffer, various nations will be annihilated. In the end, My Immaculate Heart will triumph. The Holy Father will consecrate Russia to Me, and she will be converted, and a period of peace will be granted to the world.”
Mary, Our Blessed Mother warned us because she loved us!
Will we pay the price for the world’s disobedience?
The Holy Rosary is a gift from our Mother for She truly loves us and wishes us peace. The above isan example a recital of the Rosary by Father Benedict. His praying of the Rosary is such a wonderful example of Grace and Peace.
Many people from many different walks of life and church denominations pray the Rosary.
For me, I pray the Rosary each day and it has changed my life and deepened my faith in Christ!
There is faith, and there is Faith. There is the kind of faith in that we have accepted Jesus as our Lord & Savior and do our best to believe. But sometimes we are still hurting or afraid.
But then there is a Faith that is a KNOWING. We no longer believe in Jesus, we KNOW that Jesus is our Savior and Lord. We KNOW that our Father and the Holy Spirit lives in us. And we Know that God loves us and is completely involved in our lives, every single day, and that He helps us with every single hurt and fear because He loves us 🙂
We KNOW our Father is our Daddy; that we are Jesus’s brother/sister, friend and apostle – if we choose to be. We KNOW that the Holy Spirit lives in us and we share Him with all we come in contact with.
And how do we get a Faith like this, a KNOWING of our Lord? We ask Him for it, everyday, until He gives it to us.
And God will give us that kind of Faith, because He loves us so 🙂
