Is Heaven Worth It?

That’s the question so many of us ask? Jesus suffered and died on the Cross, in part, so we could go to Heaven. So we could once again have a relationship with our Father-God. He became our bridge to both 🙂

But although our entrance to Heaven is free, entrance to Heaven reguires that we accept Jesus as our Savior and follow Him Home. And that is not always easy.

Following Jesus, really following Him, requires that we live a completely unselfish life, or at least try to. It requires that we love God with our whole heart and soul and love others as ourselves. In other words, love others as Jesus loves us!

We were born selfish. We want to be happy. And we want to have fun. And let’s face it, sometimes we just want the easy, softer way. And sometimes we want others to love us more than we want to love others. But that way, it’s not Jesus’s way.

Jesus’s way requires courage, love, unselfishness, surrender! And that is just a few of the things Following Jesus requires.

But with Jesus’s Help, we can do it. With Jesus, we will be enough 🙂

Jesus knows we are not perfect, that is why He came.

And no one said it would be easy…

But the rewards, even here on earth, are amazing. A joy and peace so deep, they can never be taken. A joy and peace that survives any and all hardships. Oh sure, we may cry for a day but Joy comes in the morning.

And then there is Heaven. Joy, peace and love forever…and walking with God…

Of course, it’s worth it 🙂
