We All Struggle With Our Faith!

“Remember his marvelous works that he hath done; his wonders, and the judgments of his mouth”- Psalm 105:5

As humans, our memories are short.  So easily and so quickly, we forget all that God has done for us.  And not just us, but those we love and all of mankind.

This is when we need to take a few moments and list for ourselves all of the times that God has answered our call.  All the times God has been there for us .  All the times God has answered our prayer!  Because God loves us!

There are times when we all struggle with our faith, and that is okay.  Jesus will help us through our struggles!  Just ask Him to and He will. Because He loves us!

Watch, Prepare & Pray, In Jesus’ Name.  Amen.  ?

Fear Not!

“Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.” -Isaiah 41:10

We need not fear; God loves us and He is always faithful!

Make Sure To Have An Accurate Bible!

A very popular Bible website posted a Bible verse today!

“And now these three remain:  faith, hope and love.  But the greatest of these is charity” – Corinthians 13:13

The Bible version (KJV) ends this verse with the word “charity”, but the NIV version ends it with the word “Love”. They changed the word. A friend of mine had a really good way of defining charity, “Love in action”. But that is not exactly the same thing as “Love”. Love is defined as an “intense feeling of deep affection”. My friend had a great definition of charity, “love in action”. One is defined as a feeling and one as an action. That’s an important difference!

It’s important that we know that what we are reading in the Bible is God’s Word. And we need to read God’s Word as He shared it!

As an adult, the King James Verson is the version of the Bible that I have always read. This version is used in many Protestant churches, but many Catholic Bibles are also based on it :). We can trust it and it is available in many places and it also inexpensive. If you don’t have one, get one while you still can. And this Easter, get one for someone you love 🙂

And pray that the Holy Spirit will lead us all in the Truth ?

The Holy Spirit & The Truth

It’s scarey that so many in Russia could think that the Russian troops are handing out food instead of such great suffering. That so many Russians believe that their soldiers are “freeing” the Ukranians instead of destroy Ukraine!

Journalists used to report the truth of world events, or at least tried to. But many in the media today only report the stories that support their media company’s agenda. How often do we believe the untruths told by some in our own media?

How many are “cancelled” for telling the truth?

That is just one reason that we need the Holy Spirit so desperately! We need to pray always that we see the world as it is, not as we wish it were. That we serve our Lord and each other, not the world.

The Bible teaches us right from wrong. We need to tuck those lessons in our hearts so that the world, and the media, can not change our perspective.

“Your word is a lamp for my feet, a light on my path.”-Psalm 119:105

We need to plant that word in our heart, keep it there and let it grow 🙂

Suffering For Being A Christian & Being “Cancelled”!

There are many good, brave people who truly follow Christ. They inspire all those around them; they inspire me. They touch our hearts and help to lead us home.

There are also those who do not truly follow Christ and they want to “cancel” us. Do Not Fear! God is with us! And do not hesitate to share the Gospel with all, because it is the Greatest Gift they will ever receive 🙂

In Peter 12, it says, “Dear friends, do not be surprised at the fiery ordeal that has come on you to test you, as though something strange were happening to you. 13 But rejoice inasmuch as you participate in the sufferings of Christ, so that you may be overjoyed when his glory is revealed. 14 If you are insulted because of the name of Christ, you are blessed, for the Spirit of glory and of God rests on you. 15 If you suffer, it should not be as a murderer or thief or any other kind of criminal, or even as a meddler. 16 However, if you suffer as a Christian, do not be ashamed, but praise God that you bear that name. 17 For it is time for judgment to begin with God’s household; and if it begins with us, what will the outcome be for those who do not obey the gospel of God? ” – Peter 4:12-17

We were always going to suffer a bit. And it will always be an honor to suffer with Christ :). And remember:

“Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness’ sake, For theirs is the kingdom of heaven.”- Matthew 5:10

Don’t hesitate to share the Gospel while there is time, because one day there will come a day when it is Much more difficult!

Share The Light!

Jesus Is The Bridge!

There are many divisions in this country. States, economics, neighborhoods, careers, politics, age and race. But no matter what the division, and no matter what has caused the division, Jesus is the Bridge. Jesus loves us all.

Truth by its’ very nature only has one.  The Bible has only one Truth-God’s Word. Between God’s Word and the Great Love that Jesus has for ALL of us- We can become what we once were, the UNITED States of America.

Watch, Prepare and Pray ?

Praying :)

There are many ways to pray and it’s important that we pray like other people breathe. In this way, we are always with God 🙂

One way to pray is to simply talk with God through out the day. That difficult co-worker that we wish to be kind to; we can ask God for help. That report that we finished on time; we can tell God how happy we are! We can ask God to prompt us all day long when we might encourage another. And we can ask God for help when we wish to be patient. We can Thank God for our many Blessings. We can talk with God on our way home and we can treat our families with love and kindness in honor of the love and kindness He shows us. 🙂

We can read the Bible. This is one of the best ways we can pray. Not only are we learning what God wants to teach us, but we are spending time with our Lord. There is much talk about the need to have a relationship with God. And that’s true. This is a great way to begin, because we can not have a relationship with one we do not know.

Still another way to pray is to pray the Our Father as Jesus taught us. We can also find other prayers in devotions, prayers books… These are especially helpful prayers when we’ve run out of things to share with our Lord, but we want to keep praying 🙂

Another way to pray is to simply listen to or sing along with, Christian music. It’s available on the radio, on our phones, in our churches… It can surround us and touch our hearts, if we let it.

We can focus on the things around us that make our lives so Blessed and Thank God for them. Perhaps it’s our families. Perhaps a hug filled with love or a smile that reaches all the way through us. Perhaps it’s a beautiful sunrise and perhaps it’s simply a beautiful flower… There is always beauty around us, if we look.

There are so many ways to pray; these are but a few. Each of us should pray in whatever way brings us closer to our Lord.

But there is one thing we should all do-Pray Like Others Breathe And Pray In Jesus’ Name!

God Is Still The Same!

He is the LORD our God, Hisjudgments are in all the earth.
He remembers His covenant forever, The word which He commanded, for a thousand generations” – Pslam 105:7-8

In a world that is ever changing, God has not changed and never will!  He is the same today as He was yesterday.

His Promises are still the Same and He Always Keeps His Promises.

Do Not Fear, for God is with us 🙂
