Warning: God’s Truth & Freedom Of Speech!

“For our transgressions are multiplied before thee, and our sins testify against us: for our transgressions are with us; and as for our iniquities, we know them;”-Isaiah 59:12

Is America filled with sin. Sadly, yes. Even sadder, it is so filled with sin that states like Minnesota want to create a registry so people can’t even remind them of those sins (Minnesota’s proposed bias registry).

Minnesota’s proposed bias registry is very troubling. The question must be asked, will it included speech by a Pastor and other religious speech? What if the Bible is read out loud?

Clearly gay marriage and transgender acts are a sin. Will saying so now be place us on a bias registry? What about saying adultery or idols worship is a sin? Will that be placed on the bias registry as well? What about saying theft is a sin? Will that offend someone? Will it be entered in the bias registry too? Talk about loosing your freedom!

God’s Truth is the only Truth that matters! We as Christians share that Truth with one another and we pray that the Holy Spirit will share God’s Truth with us. Nothing and no one can stop God’s Truth, for it is written in our hearts! πŸ™‚

Please pray for our Pastors’ and all of our Leaders. Ask our Lord to give them courage to lead well and the right way, for they will need it!

Reading The Bible

“Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.”-Psalm 119:105

I remember years ago, attending our church in Ohio, Grace Missionary Alliance. One day, they had a visiting missionary doing the sermon. And he spoke of the greatest lesson he ever learned. It was about reading the Bible and staying close to God.

His Bible was obviously old and worn. Dog-eared he called it. He had folded pages. It was obviously often used and well read.

My Bible is like that as well. Many of the pages of my Bible have certain verses highlighted. My friend writes in the margins of hers and underlines certain verses, and so do I πŸ™‚

God’s Word was meant to be studied and learned. We need to hold its verses and teachings in our hearts-always. We have been privileged in America to be able to have Bibles, but we may not always have that privilege. And we need to prepare for that day.

So please, feel free, to fold pages, highlight and write or underline…And ask the Holy Spirit to Help you read it. For God will be well pleased that we are putting so much effort into learning His Word and living by it πŸ™‚

Those Who Do Not Truly Know Me…

We have been told so many times that Jesus did not condemn anyone, He didn’t even talk about sin. But that is just not true!

Jesus talked quite a bit about sin and about the need for repentance! And about the consequences if we don’t repent! And there are consequences:

β€œNot everyone who says to me, β€˜Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. 22 On that day many will say to me, β€˜Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and cast out demons in your name, and do many mighty works in your name?’ 23 And then will I declare to them, β€˜I never knew you; depart from me, you workers of lawlessness.’”-Mathew :21-23

There are many who claim to know and accept Jesus, but the truth is those who truly know Jesus-Follow Jesus. And isn’t that the least we can do?

Our Hope Is In God :)

“Violence shall no longer be heard in your land, Neither wasting nor destruction within your borders; But you shall call your walls Salvation,
And your gates Praise. The sun shall no longer be your light by day,
Nor for brightness shall the moon give light to you; But the Lord will be to you an everlasting light, And your God your glory.”-Isaiah 60: 18-19

We look around the world, indeed our own country, and we see violence and destruction in it daily. And it all weighs on our hearts. We can’t help but wonder just what kind of world our children will inherit.

But then we turn to the pages of God’s Word and we are reminded that our Hope is in God, not in this world. And one day, we will return home and worry no more. And our children will have that same path way open to them! πŸ™‚

The Blind Guides

“Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for you pay tithe of mint and anise and cummin, and have omitted the weightier matters of the law, judgement, mercy and faith: these ought you to have done, and not leave the others undone. You blind guides which strain at a gnat and swallow a camel.”- Daniel 23:23-24

Often, we pray that God opens the eyes of the unbeliever and this is good, but we also need to pray that God opens our own!

How Long Will God Wait?

β€œGod may appear to be overlooking sin, especially when evil seems to triumph in our day. Rest assured that within the very core nature of God is His justice. He cannot by nature overlook sin. And He has appointed a day in which He will judge the world in righteousness. You can be sure of that.”

Jay Fowler

We learn from the Book of Jeremiah that those nations who do not listen to and do not obey the Lord-fall. That is exactly what happened in the Book of Jeremiah and it is what will happen to our nation if we do not start listening to and obeying God.

God gave Jerusalem many chances, but they did not obey Him. And in the Bible, we can see the results of their choice!

Is America not in the same place of not listening to and not obeying God? How long do we think that God will wait?

The Fourth Horse

Seen While Praying The Rosary: The Pale Horse

“And when he had opened the fourth seal, I heard the voice of the fourth beast say, Come and see.”

” And I looked, and behold a pale horse: and his name that sat on him was Death, and Hell followed with him. And power was given unto them over the fourth part of the earth, to kill with sword, and with hunger, and with death, and with the beasts of the earth.”-Revelations 6:7-8

What is “Highly Esteemed Among Men Is Abomination In The Sight Of God”

“And he said to them, You are they which justify yourselves before men; but God knows your hearts for that which is highly esteemed among men is abomination in the sight of God.”-Luke 16:15

There can be no doubt that many Americans, millions even, justify their actions by the approval of other human beings, rather than the approval of God. The problem with that choice (for they choose to do so) is that God does NOT approve!

We need to seek God’s Will for every choice we make in our lives. Daily prayer and the daily reading of G0d’s Word can help us to make more Godly choices. Ending every prayer with a prayer that “God’s Will Be Done” can really help πŸ™‚

All of our choices should be chosen based on what God’s Will is for us, not man’s.

Being Grateful :)

One of the reasons that sinners are the so very grateful is because they know they need a Savior and they are incredibly grateful. Sometimes we go to church and actively Follow Christ, but we forget just how Blessed we are πŸ™‚

Personally, I am so grateful for God’s CONSTANT presence in my life. He is with me in good times to share in my joy and in hard times to help me through.

I read somewhere that it helps people with stress tremendously to write down 5 things that they are grateful for each day.

So we need to write down our list and Thank God for Blessing us with each of them!

God’s Words Will Live Forever!

In Matthew 24:35 it says, “Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away.”

And those Words are so true! All things will end and be gone, but not God’s Words. So the Bible must be really important, for it is the one thing that will never pass. The Bible is home to God’s Word, it needs to become a part of us, and live in our Heart.

Difficult days are coming. Believe it or not, one day we will look back at these days of Covid, politics and riots and realize that these were the easy days.

So this Christmas, make sure everyone you love has a Bible. For it is God’s Word that will show us how to walk through the coming days, and remind us that He walks with us πŸ™‚
