The Roadmap!

“Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye pay tithe of mint and anise and cummin, and have omitted the weightier matters of the law, judgment, mercy, and faith: these ought ye to have done, and not to leave the other undone.  Ye blind guides, which strain at a gnat, and swallow a camel.“-Matthew 23:23-24

Attending church and listening to a Pastor preach a sermon is supposed to lead us to God, not away from God!

So how do we know if we are in a church that is leading us to God, not away? Especially with so many churches splitting!

Read the Holy Bible. If we ask the Holy Spirit to help us to read it, it is not as complicated as one might think! God is not a “God of Confusion”. He gave us His Word as a Roadmap for living. We need to use it as such and obey God’s Word: exactly as it is written!

“Woe be unto the pastors that destroy and scatter the sheep of my pasture! saith the Lord.”-Jeremiah 23:1

Why We Need To Warn Others!

“Cry aloud, spare not, lift up thy voice like a trumpet, and shew my people their transgression, and the house of Jacob their sins.” – Isaiah 58:1

If we truly love one another as God has commanded, then we must also tell one another the truth. Which means telling people when they sin.

There are those who will say this is not kind. But is it kind to watch someone we love go to Hell, when we could have told them the truth and watched them go to Heaven:)

One reason Jesus came was so that we might have forgiveness. But forgiveness requires repentance. We can’t repent if we don’t even know our sins!

So if we truly love others, we need to warn them just as God’s Word warns us.

Our Hope Is In God :)

“Violence shall no longer be heard in your land, Neither wasting nor destruction within your borders; But you shall call your walls Salvation,
And your gates Praise. The sun shall no longer be your light by day,
Nor for brightness shall the moon give light to you; But the Lord will be to you an everlasting light, And your God your glory.”-Isaiah 60: 18-19

We look around the world, indeed our own country, and we see violence and destruction in it daily. And it all weighs on our hearts. We can’t help but wonder just what kind of world our children will inherit.

But then we turn to the pages of God’s Word and we are reminded that our Hope is in God, not in this world. And one day, we will return home and worry no more. And our children will have that same path way open to them! 🙂

Prepare, Pray & Be Ready!

In A World That Seems So Unjust; God IS Always Just :)

17 “Yet your people say, ‘The way of the Lord is not just.’ But it is their way that is not just. 18 If a righteous person turns from their righteousness and does evil, they will die for it. 19 And if a wicked person turns away from their wickedness and does what is just and right, they will live by doing so. 20 Yet you Israelites say, ‘The way of the Lord is not just.’ But I will judge each of you according to your own ways.”-Ezekiel 33:17-20

Clearly, God is Just. We may not always like that He is Just. After all it would be so much easier if God would let us do whatever we want, lol. But that’s not the way it is… 🙂

It says in the New Testament that we “are Saved by Faith”. And that’s true. But if we have “faith” in Jesus Christ, then we believe in Him. And if we believe in Him, as a friend once told me, than we need to believe and do what He said. (see James 2: 14-26 – “Faith without works is Dead“)

“Love your God with your whole heart and soul, and love each other as yourselves.” No easy task, but that pretty much covers it all! And the Holy Spirit is here to help us do that; He’s our Helper and we just need to ask Him 🙂

But if we do believe in Jesus, we will believe and do as He said, today.

Have You Been Misled?

“23 Woe be unto the pastors that destroy and scatter the sheep of my pasture! saith the Lord.”Jeremiah 23:1

“2 Therefore thus saith the Lord God of Israel against the pastors that feed my people; Ye have scattered my flock, and driven them away, and have not visited them: behold, I will visit upon you the evil of your doings, saith the Lord.”Jeremiah 23:2

How many times have we seen or heard Pastors teach their congregations lessons that are not in agreement with the Bible? The “Gospel of Accomedation” is alive and well, misleading many sincere souls.

God reserves a special punishment to those who “destroy and scatter the sheep”. (We are the sheep :). Have you ever heard the saying, “To whom much has been given, much is expected”?. Such is true for Pastors as well. They have been given the special Blessing of becoming a Pastor, and so they also have a very special responsibility-telling the truth about God’s Word.

But we also have a responsibility: To read God’s Word for ourselves and Interpret it for ourselves. Our future in Heaven is forever, and it is too imporant to leave entirely in someone else’s hands. Pastors can be a really great resource and encourageent, but we need to take responsibility for our future ourselves. And so, we each, need to read and understand the Bible ourselves!

While reading the Bible is easy, understanding it is not. But fortunately for us, God gave us a “Helper”. The Holy Spirit. And if we ask the Holy Spirit in Jesus’ Name to help us understand what we are reading-He will.

Read the Bible. Your future matters!

Taking Our God-Given Freedom Back: The First Step!

In Portland, they are burning Bibles. There are some in California that would rewrite the Bible. There are a number of countries where people are persecuted for having a Bible.

The first step to taking back our God-Given Freedom is to read God’s Word. And we can’t do that if we don’t have an accurate Bible.

So buy one, or better yet-buy two-so you can give it to one to someone who needs one. Be sure each of your children has an accurate Bible. An inexpensive place to purchase Bibles is Christianbook.com. Or order one or more from your favorite Christian Store! But be sure you have an accurate Bible, because the time may be coming when they are hard to purchase.

Jesus LIves

Lifestyles This is our comfort. Our strength. Our future. Our everything. There is no power on this earth, or anywhere else, that can change that.

And when Jesus rose to Heaven, our Father sent the Holy Spirit to be our Comforter & Friend. And nothing anywhere on earth, or anywhere else, can change that.

Is ISIS and groups like it frightening?  Yes. Only a fool is not frightened by true evil, But Jesus warned us that “troubles” would come.

So please my friend, take heart from Jesus’ Words: “I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.”-Jesus Christ, John 16:33

May God Bless us all, each and every one,
