Warning: “You believe that there is one God. You do well. Even the demons believe-and tremble” !

“You believe that there is one God. You do well. Even the demons believe—and tremble!” – James 2:19

There isn’t really a debate if God is Real and it’s clear that there is only one God. Even the demons believe that! The real difference is who truly Follows Jesus. For if we truly accept Jesus and sincerely ask Him to be our Savior, we want to Follow Him. Which means we want to Follow God’s Word, which He gave us in the Holy Bible. The Real Holy Bible.

Because a number of countries are attempting to rewrite the Bible to support bad behaviors or their country’s actions, it is critically important that we memorize as many real Bible verses as we can.

This is also helpful as our children return to school, where so many of our children are pressured into a sinful life by their own teachers! The more Bible verses our children “hide in their heart”, the less influence these schools will have!

And please, Pray for all of the children who are returning to public schools. May Jesus protect them!

There is Power in the Name of Jesus. We need to teach our children to say His Name out loud whenever they are being pressured to believe or do something that is against God’s Word!

Here’s a great one to start with:

“I have stored up your word in my heart, that I might not sin against you.” – Psalm 119:11

God Is Merciful & Just!

“Therefore, son of man, speak to the house of Israel, and say to them, ‘Thus says the Lord God: “In this too your fathers have blasphemed Me, by being unfaithful to Me.”- Ezekiel20:27

Let’s face it; Israel has a history of sin. One has only to read Ezekiel 20 to see that.

Now fast forward to America. Is our country not committing even worse sins? And yet, somehow some seem to think that there will be no consequences for those sins. But this is not true, our nation will face the consequences for our sins. And soon! God is Merciful, but He is also Just!

Heaven is our Home and we can’t wait to go there. And good thing! For earth may soon see it’s share of difficulties. But if we repent and hold onto Jesus’ Hand and Follow Him, we will enter Heaven and stay there for all eternity!

What matters on earth is so short and so temporary; we need not fear! For we will soon come Home to Heaven, forever 🙂

Repentance

“Behold, the Lord’s hand is not shortened, that it cannot save; neither his ear heavy, that it cannot hear: But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid his face from you, that he will not hear.”-Isaiah 59:1-2

Repentance is truly important. It really has two components, sorrow for the sin that we have committed and change (in other words, a true commitment to not committing that sin again!). Jesus will always forgive those who are truly repentant.

But what is a true commitment to not committing that sin again? I will tell you what it is not. It is not necessarily never committing that same sin again. We are human and we fail. That is just the way it is. And if we fail, we just need to turn to Jesus and ask His forgiveness and get back up and try to change again :).

I will share with you what it is. Perhaps our sin is drinking too much. Stopping at the bar on that way home may make it very hard to avoid that sin!

Another thing we may want to avoid: fatigue. Perhaps our sin in being crabby and too critical in the evening. Being “too busy” and “too tired” may not help us to avoid that sin. So avoiding being too busy and too tired may be helpful.

How about lying? Avoiding any action that we would feel that need to lie about may be very helpful. How about white lies? Remembering that it is sometimes just easier to tell the truth may be helpful. For example, telling someone who invites us somewhere that we are too tired or need to stay home, may just be easier than claiming a prior commitment that does not exist.

Sin separates us from God. So we do not want any more sin in our lives than we really can’t seem to avoid. So we need to ask Jesus for Help and avoid them where we can!

There is a reason that the Our Father, which Jesus taught us to pray, ends with:

And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.”-Matthew 6:13

Jesus Will Meet Us Wherever We Are :)

There are many who think that they need to wait to ask Jesus to be their Savior until “they have cleaned up their lives”. Perhaps there are some activities that they enjoy and that they fear they may not be able to enjoy anymore (if they ask Jesus to be their Savior). Perhaps there are some that lead(and often enjoy) a really sinful life, and they feel they are not quite ready to give that up yet. Whatever the reason, sadly, without Jesus, we can not enter Heaven.

But the truth is, Jesus will meet us wherever we are! He loves us that much :). There is no life style, no amount of sin, other than blaspheming the Holy Spirit, that can keep us from Jesus and that Jesus can not help us defeat. For Jesus has already won that battle and God forgives us through our relationship with Jesus :).

All we need is to ask Jesus to be our Savior, and ask Him to help us Follow Him, and He will 🙂

Why We Need To Warn Others!

“Cry aloud, spare not, lift up thy voice like a trumpet, and shew my people their transgression, and the house of Jacob their sins.” – Isaiah 58:1

If we truly love one another as God has commanded, then we must also tell one another the truth. Which means telling people when they sin.

There are those who will say this is not kind. But is it kind to watch someone we love go to Hell, when we could have told them the truth and watched them go to Heaven:)

One reason Jesus came was so that we might have forgiveness. But forgiveness requires repentance. We can’t repent if we don’t even know our sins!

So if we truly love others, we need to warn them just as God’s Word warns us.

Warning: The Story of Baasha

“Forasmuch as I exalted thee out of the dust, and made thee prince over my people Israel; and thou hast walked in the way of Jeroboam, and hast made my people Israel to sin, to provoke me to anger with their sins; Behold, I will take away the posterity of Baasha, and the posterity of his house; and will make thy house like the house of Jeroboam the son of Nebat.”-1 Kings 16:3

So who was Baasha? It has been written that Baasha was a king in the late 800s BC. He came to power by murdering the previous king. He was an evil man and was at war most of the time and lost much territory. Jehu the Prophet prophesied the downfall of his “dynasty” and it has been written that Baasha’s son Elah was assassinated and his “dynasty” did fall.

Baasha sinned in many ways, but perhaps the sin that angered God the most was that he “made my people of Israel to sin”.

Many in America have also committed many grievous sins without repenting! One has only to look at the recent headlines to see that! And in our country, we all know what is happening with the current presidential election. Will we even have a free and fair election?

While no man (or women) can make us sin, they can sure encourage it and make it very difficult for all those who choose not to. And how many times have we seen Christians persecuted in this country for following God’s Will? But God is stronger than all of those who want us to join them in committing these grievous sins! We have only to turn to Jesus and ask for His Help, and He Will Help Us!

Last note. Those who would destroy American had best read the story of Bassha and remember that God is NOT limited. Just because a story is in the Old Testament, does not mean that it can not happen today!

We don’t have to fall into sin and stop following God, it’s our choice, given to us by God Himself.

Warning: God’s Truth & Freedom Of Speech!

“For our transgressions are multiplied before thee, and our sins testify against us: for our transgressions are with us; and as for our iniquities, we know them;”-Isaiah 59:12

Is America filled with sin. Sadly, yes. Even sadder, it is so filled with sin that states like Minnesota want to create a registry so people can’t even remind them of those sins (Minnesota’s proposed bias registry).

Minnesota’s proposed bias registry is very troubling. The question must be asked, will it included speech by a Pastor and other religious speech? What if the Bible is read out loud?

Clearly gay marriage and transgender acts are a sin. Will saying so now be place us on a bias registry? What about saying adultery or idols worship is a sin? Will that be placed on the bias registry as well? What about saying theft is a sin? Will that offend someone? Will it be entered in the bias registry too? Talk about loosing your freedom!

God’s Truth is the only Truth that matters! We as Christians share that Truth with one another and we pray that the Holy Spirit will share God’s Truth with us. Nothing and no one can stop God’s Truth, for it is written in our hearts! 🙂

Please pray for our Pastors’ and all of our Leaders. Ask our Lord to give them courage to lead well and the right way, for they will need it!

Prepare, Pray & Be Ready!

God’s Warning!

“Nevertheless, if thou warn the wicked of his way to turn from it; if he do not turn from his way, he shall die in his iniquity; but thou hast delivered thy soul.”

“Therefore, O thou son of man, speak unto the house of Israel; Thus ye speak, saying, If our transgressions and our sins be upon us, and we pine away in them, how should we then live?”

1“Say unto them, As I live, saith the Lord God, I have no pleasure in the death of the wicked; but that the wicked turn from his way and live: turn ye, turn ye from your evil ways; for why will ye die, O house of Israel?” – Ezekiel 9-11

Jesus did not replace the Old Testament with the New, He continued it. There’s a difference.

Need more be said?

Prepare, Pray & Be Ready!

A Warning & A Reward :)

Thank You!

“And then many will be offended, will betray one another, and will hate one another. Then many false prophets will rise up and deceive many.   And because lawlessness will abound, the love of many will grow cold.  But he who endures to the end shall be saved.” – Matthew 24:10-13

Sounds a lot like today. But it may be a slower process than we think for there is one verse in the Bible that lets us know that the end may not be quite yet:

“And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.” – Matthew 24:14

However, we do not know when the day and hour is that Jesus will return, so we need to Be Ready:

But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only.”-Matthew 24:36

So we need to Prepare, Pray and Be Ready, because it will come!

Sin, Confession & Repentance

In Revelations 2:6, Jesus talks of how He “hates” the Nicolaitans.  It’s not often we hear from Jesus that He hates anyone!  So therefore, it must be important.

Who were the Nicolaitans?  They were a people who initially followed Jesus.  But then they turned to an incredibly sinful life.  One source says they led, “lives of unrestrained indulgence”, which sadly sounds a lot like some parts of America today!  Still another source says, “many worshipped other gods, ate food sacrificed to idols, indulged in sexually immortal behaviors”…

But personally I think that their greatest sin, was they never repented.  They took advantage of God’s Great Mercy and Christ’s Great sacrifice.  The thought they could reap the benefits of both and continue to live anyway they wanted.  Do anything they wanted.  And that’s just not true.

At times, we all struggle with sin.  Sometimes we even commit the same sins again.  And that’s alright, because God always forgives a person who sincerely seeks forgiveness through Jesus Christ.  But each person needs to seek Christ while on this earth.

And confession and repentance, besides saving us ?, are good for us.  They free us!  Jesus never meant for us to be weighed down by the guilt of yesterday.  He loves us ?

So for our own sake, we need to confess and repent every day. And be Free 🙂
