Do Not Fear!

“I called upon the Lord in distress: the Lord answered me, and set me in a large place. The Lord is on my side; I will not fear: what can man do unto me”-Psalm 118:5-6

This is so True! However, we tend to pray this verse when we have “large” troubles. But the Truth is, we can also pray this verse when we have “small” troubles. Perhaps we are exhausted, at the end of our rope, worried about our children or the future…

Whatever is “distressing” us, God will lift us up 🙂 For the “large place” is with God. And we need “not fear” for God will understand and have compassion no matter what our trouble is

We just need to call on Him. For it is God who can give us the Peace that only He can give 🙂

When there is trouble of any size, run to our Lord 🙂

Do Not Fear!

“No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and their righteousness is of me, saith the Lord.”-Isaiah 54:17

We need not fear, for God Is With Us 🙂

Facing Fear!

“When my soul fainted within me I remembered the LORD and my prayer came in to you, into your Holy Temple.” – Jonah 2:7

In this verse, Jonah is speaking. He is terribly afraid. And yet, despite his dire circumstances, Jonah knows that God is the only answer and he prays to the LORD.

In the years ahead, we will also have to face our fears. God will still be the only answer and we will need to pray to the LORD 🙂

And because of God’s great compassion and love for us, He will be answer 🙂

Prepare, Pray & Be Ready!

Do Not Fear!

“For the nation and kingdom that will not serve you shall perish”-Isaiah 60:12

With the American election unresolved and Europe’s efforts to silence those who would speak God’s Truth, two thoughts come to mind upon reading this verse.

The first is, that the “nations and kingdoms” that refuse to serve our Lord will perish. Some quickly, some eventually. But they will not stand.

The second is, we need not fear. No matter what happens in the coming days and years. Our Father will look after us. No nation will be allowed to persecute those who follow Christ forever.

Whatever difficulties we as Christians may face-They are Temporary!

God’s Love Will Give Us Courage!

“You are my hiding place; you will protect me from trouble and surround me with songs of deliverance. Selah”-Psalm 32:7

We live in difficult times. Truly difficult times. And fear is a completely understandable emotion when one looks around the world in which we live. But courage is not the absence of fear, it’s the facing of it.

And that’s exactly what God’s love enables us to do. Have great courage in the face of great fear. Because no matter what happens on this earth, because of Jesus, our future is in Heaven. It’s a fact. And nothing can change that. Nothing.

So when the going gets tough, and it will, remember that and hold on to it. We will not struggle forever. We will dance with joy forever 🙂

Heaven awaits us. God loves us. And nothing can hurt us-not really. For because of Jesus, our joyful triumph is already assured 🙂

Anger At God Really Comes From Fear!

There are many who are angry at God right now. They question why He doesn’t “fix” things. Make the Covid-19 virus go away. Make the riots stop. Right the country. But God gave us free will. We, ourselves, get to choose our own path. And right now, some are making very poor choices.

It’s okay for us to feel anger at the situation. But we need to keep talking to God about it. Tell Him how we feel! Believe me, He understands! And when we feel those angry feelings rising up, we need to recognize them for what they are-feelings. And as my Dad used to say, feelings lie. We know the Truth-We just need to remember it-God uses all things, even the bad things, to the good of those who love Him.

Also, this isn’t Heaven! In Heaven, all will be perfect. There will be nothing to fear! And although this isn’t Heaven yet, one day we will be in Heaven together, and we need to hold onto that 🙂

And we also need to understand why we feel angry. The root of all anger is fear. There are some who are afraid that if bad things are happening, that means that God does not love them. Nothing could be further from the truth! God loves us!

In the Bible it warns that we “will have troubles”. Jesus warned us of this so that when the “troubles” came, we would would not fear and we would know that He still loves us. All of us!

Do not fear my friends, Jesus has it all in hand, even our “troubles” and He loves us all-each and every one.

Freedom & Choices!

A friend of mine sent this, just had to share 🙂

“ALL of God’s Children are given choices between good and evil. This IS the way that God created us. Our Heavenly Father did not want “robots” to perform without thoughts or feelings.

He made us in His Own Image. He feels what we feel. He knows EVERYTHING about us, every intricate detail. He IS our Maker and each of us made to be unique. He also knew that giving us the ability, to make our own choices, would eventually take us to sin. God’s Mercy and Grace gave His Only Son, Jesus Christ to be our choice of Redemption, our Salvation, our Hope, through His Suffering, death, and Resurrection! Truly, His Love for His Children knows no boundary!

By accepting Jesus Christ, as our personal Lord and Savior, asking Him to come into our hearts, receiving His Holy Spirit and being Born Again, what does this really allow us? FREEDOM! Freedom from worry, fear of tomorrow, evils, and the material wants of the body.

Does this mean evil will no longer try to tempt and bombard us with fiery darts of doubt and pain? NO! Truly, it means we have a choice to attempt to take on all these things on our own (i.e. which we will surely fail) OR give our trials and tribulations to our Father in heaven to combat with us.

Worry means being drawn in different directions, distracted, anxious, disturbed, and upset in spirit. Jesus had warned against this very thing in the Sermon on the Mount. “Therefore do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’….. For your Heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.” (Matthew 6:31-34) Jesus was trying to show His people the true secret of a quiet mind, freedom from anxiety and unnecessary worry. Tomorrow’s evils were not to be considered. Our Lord was teaching the great lessons of complete and childlike trust and confidence in God.

Before we make choices on this earth, would it not be wise to take them to our Lord in fervent prayer and ask Him to send His Holy Spirit, to Guide and Direct us in His Will and Purpose? OH, how much grief and evil this would lift from us!!

Fear is a Liar

“Fear is a Liar” is a popular song right now.  And if we are honest, how many times do we hesitate to step forward to serve the Lord because we don’t feel worthy?  Because we are afraid we might fail?

But the truth is – it is God that is good.  And we can count on His goodness.  All of these people served God, and not one of them was perfect.  We don’t have to wait to serve God until we are perfect, they didn’t.  Just pray and keep walking.  And remember, Prayer Changes Things 😊
