Compassion For The Lost!

“Oh, to realize that souls, precious, never dying souls, are perishing all around us, going out into the blackness of darkness and despair, eternally lost, and yet to feel no anguish, shed no tears, know no travail! How little we know of the compassion of Jesus!” – Oswald J. Smith, Evangelical Preacher, Missionary & Hymn Composer, Born in Toronto in 1890

Sadly, there are those who do not realize just how truly sad Jesus is when even one soul is lost, for Jesus Loves each one of us with a love that is truly beyond our understanding. When even one soul is lost, Jesus mourns that loss deeply.. His anguish at their suffering is more than we could ever bear. And His compassion for not only the lost, but those who love the lost, is incredible.

Praying that the Love for the Lost will fill our hearts the way it fills the Heart of Jesus is a really worthy prayer. To have a deep compassion for each one of the lost and those who love them, is something we should all seek to obtain. For it makes us more like Jesus Himself 🙂

Pray for the lost and those who love them. Be kind to all of them. And maybe, just maybe they will find their way 🙂

Be Not Afraid In Times Of Darkness

Elijah Proclaims a Drought

” And Elijah the Tishbite, of the inhabitants of Gilead, said to Ahab, “As the Lord God of Israel lives, before whom I stand, there shall not be dew nor rain these years, except at my word.” Then the word of the Lord came to him, saying, “Get away from here and turn eastward, and hide by the Brook Cherith, which flows into the Jordan.  And it will be that you shall drink from the brook, and I have commanded the ravens to feed you there.””-1 Kings 1-4

For just a moment, picture what this was like. Everywhere one looked, there was a drought. And a drought back then had a much greater effect than it does now. Back then, a drought could easily mean no food and no water! (now, in the United States we often just get it somewhere else). But can you imagine, looking all around, with hungry children to feed, and there was no where to get food or water! It must have been quite frightening.

Today, we look around and often feel surrounded by darkness. We look to our Lord and see the light, but the darkness that appears to surround us, does worry us, but there is Hope for us. It is written in God’s Word:

“‘Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that comes from the mouth of God.’”-Matthew 4:4

God’s got us! We need not fear! And these passages remind us that God does take care of His people. Who are His people? Those who accept His Son Jesus as their Savior 🙂

It Is Time To Shine God’s Light :)

“Arise, shine; for your light is come and the glory of the Lord is risen upon you.” – Isaiah 60:1

We live in dark times in this country, but the light of Christ shines as well! It shines through us!

So often, we ask God to save us, but God sent us! Jesus taught us how to share the Gospel and love God and love our neighbor! And that is all we need 🙂

We need to do that now!

God’s Light

The sun shall no more be your light by day; neither for brightness shall the moon give light to you: but the Lord shall be your everlasting light, and your God your glory.” – Isaiah 60:19

It’s hard to imagine a day when we will not have to worry if it will be “light” enough. In America, we turn on the lights when it gets dark, but we have to pay an electric bill for that! In a number of countries, they do not have electric like we do, and when night comes all they can do is build a fire!

But there will come a day when God will provide all of the light that we need 🙂 And there will be no “bill” for it! There will be no power outages and no need for fires or lamps. For God will provide the Light Himself 🙂

Do Not Fear; God Will Show Us The Way :)

” Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path”-Psalm 119:105

With the “left” so focused on attacking Christians and especially Bible-Believing Christians, it is more important than ever to memorize Bible verses and “hide them in our heart”. That way, no one can ever steal them from us by re-writing the Bible or by separating us from God’s Word. For it shall live in us-always 🙂

And by focusing on “hiding God’s Word in our heart”, we will find we fear LESS and focus MORE on Heaven which lasts forever, rather than the temporary fears that we face on earth!

If Our Nation Becomes Covered In Darkness, Be The Light :)

In Daniel 12:3 it says, “And they that be wise shall shine as the brightness of the fimament; and they that turn many to righteousness as the stars for ever and ever.”

Recently, millions of Christians participated in The Return. Some in person, even more through the telecast. During The Return, Jonathan Cahn talked about God’s Judgment, and the fact that it could be occuring soon.

Is this the Last Days we often read about, or is it the Judgement of our nation for the many sins we have commited? Only God knows.

Millions of babies have been murdered and gay marriage has become the law of the land. Netflix’s “cuties” has pushed the boudaries of all that is decent and right. Our inner cities’ are poverty sticken and violent. The list is endless…

Make no mistake, forgiveness for all of those who have sinned is available to all through Jesus Christ. And let’s face it, we have all sinned. We have all fallen short. That’s why this Bible verse is such a comfort to so many:

“as far as the east is from the west, so far has he removed our transgressions from us.”=Psalm 103:12

But a nation that does not repent and seek forgiveness is not forgiven.

We really don’t know if our country will turn back to God in time-or not

But one thing we do know, is that -should our country and it’s people be covered in darkness: God will shine a light. And the Holy Spirit will shine a light through us to reach out to others. If we let Him.

Let Him. Be the Light 🙂

Be The Light :)

“The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.”-John 1:5

There can be no doubt that these are difficult times in which we live.  The news that both the President and the First Lady have been diagnosed with Covid 19 is frightening.  Especially with the presidential election coming up.  As I pray for both of them, I can’t help but be in awe of their courage and sacrifice on behalf of our country.  We are indeed Blessed.

And I have to share with you that I feel  we are all called to that same courage and sacrifice.

In Isaiah 60:1-2 it says: “rise, shine; for thy light is come, and the glory of the Lord is risen upon thee.  For, behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and gross darkness the people: but the Lord shall arise upon thee, and his glory shall be seen upon thee.”

Dark times may indeed come, but we are called to share Christ’s light and hope with all God’s people.

Be The Light 🙂
