God Understands Just How Much We Love Our Children!

“Lift up your eyes all around, and see: They all gather together, they come to you; Your sons shall come from afar, And your daughters shall be nursed at your side.” – Isaiah 60:4

Just that this verse is in the Bible comforts every parent. We love our children so. That God knows and understands this is such a comfort. His understanding gives such hope.

He loves our children even more than we do. And yet, God also understands and empathizes with how much we love our children and He will, as always, be Faithful to us all 🙂

God is so good and loves us all so much! In these dark days, we can take much comfort and hope from His Love, both for us and for our children 🙂

Warning: God Is Just!

“Inasmuch as I lifted you out of the dust and made you ruler over My people Israel, and you have walked in the way of Jeroboam, and have made My people Israel sin, to provoke Me to anger with their sins, surely I will take away the posterity of Baasha and the posterity of his house, and I will make your house like the house of Jeroboam the son of Nebat.”- 1 Kings 16:2-3

Even though God had been so good to Baasha, he kept sinning, and sinning grievously. He allowed greed and evil to take over his heart. He decided that he did not need to listen to God. Big, big mistake! For Baasha was punished and suffered the consequences of his choice.

Can we think of another country led by someone like Baasha? A country that God has greatly Blessed? Another country that has grievously sinned and has no intention of stopping? No intention of repenting?

Will the same thing happen to that country?

We need to Repent and pray for Mercy!

Warning To Those Who Lead

“Woe to the shepherds who destroy and scatter the sheep of My pasture!” says the Lord. Therefore thus says the Lord God of Israel against the shepherds who feed My people: “You have scattered My flock, driven them away, and not attended to them. Behold, I will attend to you for the evil of your doings,” says the Lord” – Jeremiah 23:1-2

Whether they be Priests or Pastors, it matters not. This Bible verse is true for all of us!

The Sin Onion

“Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you pay tithe of mint and anise and cummin, and have neglected the weightier matters of the law: justice and mercy and faith. These you ought to have done, without leaving the others undone.” – Matthew 23:23

First of all, we all sin. No matter how hard we try, the only one that every lived a sin free life is Jesus :). Fortunately for us, He is here to forgive us 🙂 But the truth is, we do not want to sin. And when we do, we need to seek forgiveness through Jesus.

There are all kinds of sins. Catholics divide them into venial and mortal. Other Christian churches divide them into serious-and not. I like to think of sins as an onion. The top layer that we peel off reminds me of the big, glaring, impossible to miss sins. Sins like adultery or stealing…The next layers inside remind me of the sins that I need to grow in my faith to see, sins like being unkind or critical, taking the larger piece of cake, telling a “white” lie like when I tell someone I can’t meet them because I am busy, the times I took the TV remote control for myself!

And then there is the very inside layer. Growing closer to God allows me to see this layer more clearly. Some think of these as the little sins, but I think of them as big. The first two are the sins of “commission”, but the last is a sin of “omission”. It’s the times I could have stopped and helped a homeless person, but didn’t. The times I could have taken a few moments to encourage someone, but was too busy. The times I could have held someone up, but told myself I was too tired. The times I could have spent listening to someone on the phone, because they just needed someone to listen, but didn’t, the times I could have forgiven someone, but held onto a grudge…There are so many of these types of sins in our lives, sins where we were less then loving.

We ask God to have Mercy on us; we need to have Mercy on others.

Warning: God’s Truth & Freedom Of Speech!

“For our transgressions are multiplied before thee, and our sins testify against us: for our transgressions are with us; and as for our iniquities, we know them;”-Isaiah 59:12

Is America filled with sin. Sadly, yes. Even sadder, it is so filled with sin that states like Minnesota want to create a registry so people can’t even remind them of those sins (Minnesota’s proposed bias registry).

Minnesota’s proposed bias registry is very troubling. The question must be asked, will it included speech by a Pastor and other religious speech? What if the Bible is read out loud?

Clearly gay marriage and transgender acts are a sin. Will saying so now be place us on a bias registry? What about saying adultery or idols worship is a sin? Will that be placed on the bias registry as well? What about saying theft is a sin? Will that offend someone? Will it be entered in the bias registry too? Talk about loosing your freedom!

God’s Truth is the only Truth that matters! We as Christians share that Truth with one another and we pray that the Holy Spirit will share God’s Truth with us. Nothing and no one can stop God’s Truth, for it is written in our hearts! 🙂

Please pray for our Pastors’ and all of our Leaders. Ask our Lord to give them courage to lead well and the right way, for they will need it!

WARNING: THOSE NATIONS WHO REJECT GOD WILL FACE CONSEQUENCES!

“that you may be sons of your Father in heaven; for He makes His sun rise on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the just and on the unjust.”-Matthew 5:45

America, as a nation, has turned away from God and as a nation we will face consequences for that choice. Unfortunately, because we are one nation and a nation who has chosen to reject God’s protection; our entire nation will face the consequences. For it “rains on the just and unjust”.

Will God answer individual prayers? In Jesus’s Name, Absolutely. Will some be “Marked Safe”? Yes. Will there still be churches that still preach God’s Truth? There will be, but remember – the Church is God’s People.

And God Loves His People. So no matter what occurs, we can still pray to Him in Jesus’s Name, and He will answer 🙂
