We can learn the easy way or the hard way-it’s up to us…

In many ways, that’s what Ezekiel 20 is about (Read it: https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Ezekiel+20&version=NIV

We can learn to follow God’s Word in the “Land of Milk & Honey” or we can learn it the hard way…But clearly, we are going to learn that it is God who is charge-one way or another.

I will always be grateful to Jesus for Saving me! But that does not give me the right to ignore God’s Word. God gave us clear instructions in His Holy Word as to how to live our lives, and God expects us to follow them.

So if we love Jesus, we will follow Him and all His teachings to the very best of our ability. And Jesus will make up the difference between our best efforts and what God our Father expects.

Don’t take advantage of Christ’s great love for us by not even trying to follow His Holy Word, because Jesus deserves so much better than that!

Freedom & Choices!

A friend of mine sent this, just had to share 🙂

“ALL of God’s Children are given choices between good and evil. This IS the way that God created us. Our Heavenly Father did not want “robots” to perform without thoughts or feelings.

He made us in His Own Image. He feels what we feel. He knows EVERYTHING about us, every intricate detail. He IS our Maker and each of us made to be unique. He also knew that giving us the ability, to make our own choices, would eventually take us to sin. God’s Mercy and Grace gave His Only Son, Jesus Christ to be our choice of Redemption, our Salvation, our Hope, through His Suffering, death, and Resurrection! Truly, His Love for His Children knows no boundary!

By accepting Jesus Christ, as our personal Lord and Savior, asking Him to come into our hearts, receiving His Holy Spirit and being Born Again, what does this really allow us? FREEDOM! Freedom from worry, fear of tomorrow, evils, and the material wants of the body.

Does this mean evil will no longer try to tempt and bombard us with fiery darts of doubt and pain? NO! Truly, it means we have a choice to attempt to take on all these things on our own (i.e. which we will surely fail) OR give our trials and tribulations to our Father in heaven to combat with us.

Worry means being drawn in different directions, distracted, anxious, disturbed, and upset in spirit. Jesus had warned against this very thing in the Sermon on the Mount. “Therefore do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’….. For your Heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.” (Matthew 6:31-34) Jesus was trying to show His people the true secret of a quiet mind, freedom from anxiety and unnecessary worry. Tomorrow’s evils were not to be considered. Our Lord was teaching the great lessons of complete and childlike trust and confidence in God.

Before we make choices on this earth, would it not be wise to take them to our Lord in fervent prayer and ask Him to send His Holy Spirit, to Guide and Direct us in His Will and Purpose? OH, how much grief and evil this would lift from us!!

Forgiveness is Available for all those who Ask :)

The Bible says, “fear is the beginning of wisdom”.

We may not always wish to live as the Bible has instructed, but woe to person who fails to do so, and refuses to repent.

In His great love for us, our Father has left wide open a way for repentance and forgiveness.  His name is Jesus Christ.

Don’t walk to Him, Run.  He is waiting for you with open arms ?

The Color of Jesus’ Skin- Does It Matter?

In the news recently, there has been quite a discussion as to the color of Jesus’ skin. How sad that so much energy is wasted on something that does not matter.

In the Bible, it talks of clay pots. And how although the clay pots may age and deteriorate (Us). It’s what is In the pot that is truly the Treasure (The Holy Spirit). It is the same with the color of Jesus’ skin. It simply does not matter what color of skin Jesus had.

We love and follow Him because of who He was on the inside. We love and follow Him because He loved us so! And His greatest command is that we love God with our whole heart and soul, and love our neighbor as ourselves.

Notice Jesus did not say, love those with whom we agree, lol. He said love every one.

Jesus does not recognize any of the ways we divide ourselves. Whether it be economic, political or race, because Jesus loves us all-each and every one!

Following Jesus to Heaven

To All My Friends

The way to Heaven is through Jesus Christ. We tend to think that the only way to Heaven is through following the behavior that is in the Bible. But Jesus came for those who are sinners most of all. He loves us. It doesn’t mean we shouldn’t try. Of course we should. But we should also accept that we may fail, and God Still Loves Us.

Going to Heaven is not about how good we are, but about how good Jesus is! So please, don’t give up. Jesus loves you. There is nothing you, or the world, can do to change that. No matter what we each have done, Jesus’ door is always open; for He will never stop loving us. He will never stop being there for us. Because He loves us. He was crucified for us. And He rose again for us. And He loves us-always.  Don’t ever give us-because Jesus won’t…

Before we speak. Is it True? Is it Good? Is it Wise?

A friend sent me this story,  it was so good, I couldn’t resist sharing 🙂

Once upon a time, in a remote village, there was reputed to be a person whom held knowledge in high esteem. All the townspeople, even some strangers that traveled from far away, came to consult with this person regarding personal questions or perhaps philosophy shared. One day an acquaintance met with them and said, “Do you know what I just heard about your friend?” “Hold on a minute,” the wise person said. “Before you talk to me about my friend, it might be a good idea to take a moment and filter what you’re going to say. That’s why I call it the “Triple Filter Test”. The first filter IS Truth. Have you made absolutely sure what you are about to tell me IS True?” “Well, no,” the other person said, “actually I just heard about it and…” “All right,” said the wise person. “So you don’t really know if it’s true or not. Now, let’s try the second filter, the filter of Goodness. Is what you are about to tell me about my friend something good?” “Umm, no, on the contrary…” “So,” the wise man continued, “you want to tell me something bad about my friend, but you’re not certain it’s true. You may still pass the test though, because there’s one filter left – the filter of Usefulness. Is what you want to tell me about my friend going to be useful to me?” “No, not really.” “Well,” concluded the wise man, “if what you want to tell me IS neither true, nor good, nor even useful, why tell it to me at all?”
God’s Word shares with you that… the tongue IS a fire, a world of iniquity. The tongue is SO set among the members that it defiles the whole body, and sets on fire the course of nature. That no man can tame the tongue. It IS an unruly evil, full of deadly poison. With it you bless your Heavenly Father, and with it curse others, who have been made in the likeness of God. Out of the same mouth proceed blessing and cursing. That these things ought not be so. No spring yields both salt water and fresh…. God’s Word also shares…For where envy and self-seeking exist, confusion and every evil thing are there. But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, willing to yield, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality and without hypocrisy. Now the fruit of righteousness IS sown in peace by those who make peace.

North Carolina city removes sculpture of soldier kneeling before cross

“Until a few days ago, a war memorial in a public park in North Carolina included a metal sculpture depicting a soldier kneeling in prayer before a cross. But city officials voted to remove the sculpture to settle a lawsuit claiming the artwork promoted Christianity.”-From Fox News

“Whoever acknowledges me before others, I will also acknowledge before my Father in heaven. 33 But whoever disowns me before others, I will disown before my Father in heaven.” -From Mathew 10:32 & 33
