” Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path”-Psalm 119:105
With the “left” so focused on attacking Christians and especially Bible-Believing Christians, it is more important than ever to memorize Bible verses and “hide them in our heart”. That way, no one can ever steal them from us by re-writing the Bible or by separating us from God’s Word. For it shall live in us-always 🙂
And by focusing on “hiding God’s Word in our heart”, we will find we fear LESS and focus MORE on Heaven which lasts forever, rather than the temporary fears that we face on earth!
One of the reasons that sinners are the so very grateful is because they know they need a Savior and they are incredibly grateful. Sometimes we go to church and actively Follow Christ, but we forget just how Blessed we are 🙂
Personally, I am so grateful for God’s CONSTANT presence in my life. He is with me in good times to share in my joy and in hard times to help me through.
I read somewhere that it helps people with stress tremendously to write down 5 things that they are grateful for each day.
So we need to write down our list and Thank God for Blessing us with each of them!
So often we hear the question asked, “What happens to people who do not believe in Jesus?”
So let me be clear, the only way to Heaven is through the acceptance of Jesus Christ and Following Him. That’s the only safe way, it’s the only way written about in the Bible.
Do we, as human beings who love others, hope that God makes an acception for some. Of course we do ?. Because we are just human beings. But if we truly love that person, then we need to be honest with them and tell them the Truth of Jesus Christ and the Holy Bible. Because Pastor Schaeffer is right, Jesus warned us about Hell because He loved us and didn’t want us to go there. We need to do the same for those we love.
And Jesus told us how to get to Heaven, a place He prepared for us, for the same reason. He loves us. And we know that is true, because no one would suffer so for someone they didn’t love ?
A friend of mine asked me what happens to people in countries who are not Christian, such as the Middle East? Jesus has appeared to many people in countries such as these, and will continue to do so until He comes again. To assume that people in other countries have not had the opportunity to know and accept Jesus is a mistake. We really don’t know what Christ does in other countries.
And this is also where Trust comes in. We know that Jesus loves us All, no matter where we live. Just as we know that God is Merciful and Just. When it comes to others, we need to Trust that God will do what is right by All people, because we know that God Loves All People.
And we need to recognize that people make their choice-Heaven or Hell, during this life on earth. And as much as we may wish to, we don’t get to make it for them, because it is a choice God gave them.
There are those who would attempt to discourage us from sharing the Great News Of Jesus Christ. Don’t let them, for it IS Great News. For Jesus has not only made a way to Heaven for us, He will help us in this life as well ?
And will we have the courage and faith that they have?
From Worthy Devotionals:
My Friends, claim your gifts!
Matthew 7:9-11 Or what man is there among you who, if his son asks for bread, will give him a stone? Or if he asks for a fish, will he give him a serpent? If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask Him!
“Another great preacher whose writings I love to read is John R. Rice. He wrote, “I once imagined I was in Heaven, walking along with the Angel Gabriel. I said, “Gabe, what is that big building over there?”
“You’ll be disappointed,” he answered. “I don’t think you want to see it.” But I insisted, and he proceeded to show me floor after floor of beautiful gifts, all wrapped and ready to be sent.
“Gabriel, what are all of these?”
He said, I thought rather sadly, “We wrapped all these things, but people never called for them.”
There are gifts and an abundance of blessings to be received from heaven — but we need to claim them as our own! We receive not because we’ve asked not.
My Friends, when we ask the Lord in humility and expectation for His goodness, He will answer! Then we’ll be better equipped to do the great things He has in store for us.”
Ending their prayer for the opening of the “new” congress with Amen awoman, our nation has chosen its path: Judgement.
This year, it will be difficult not to become angry with some of the actions we are forced to witness. We will be angry at the lack of respect of our Lord, the mistreatment of good people, the laws passed by Congress… and so much more…
But as the Lord says in Romans 12:19, “Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord” We need not “get even”, in the end, God will see that Justice is done.
But that still leaves the emotion of our anger to deal with. What can we do with that? We can ask our Father in Jesus’ Name to lighten that burden, for it is too heavy for us to carry. And we can consciously work at remembering to pity those who do not follow Christ. For when we truly think about it, one day in Hell is too long. Imagine an eternity? It’s not a fate we would wish anyone.,,
So when anger fills your heart, justified or not, empty it. Remember that steady determination will accomplish much more than uncontrolled anger. Instead, shift your focus. Focus on your future in Heaven and on Jesus who will bring us there. Focus on the natural beauty of the world that God created for us. Focus on those you love.
Ask God in Jesus’ Name for the Peace that only He can give. Ask the Holy Spirit in Jesus’ Name for Help. Pray Always, especially when you don’t feel like it.
As the saying goes, “Never Give Up & Never Give In”. If we fall, and we will, with Christ’s Help, GET UP! We KNOW where we are going. And we KNOW how to get there. Follow Jesus. Trust God. And we will meet in Heaven-together 🙂
I wish I could say that I have never had any doubts, but that would not be true. And that’s okay. Remember Thomas? Jesus understands ?
Do we doubt that Jesus is real, no. For even Satan knows Jesus is real. I think when doubt creeps in, it is more subtle than that and has more to do with our own insecurities. We do not really doubt God’s Goodness, but our own.
But God is Faithful, even when we are not. He loves us, even when we feel unlovable. He loves us every second of every minute of every day. We just need to remember that ?
And Thank Him 🙂
Because Faith is not about how we feel on any given day, but rather who we choose to follow every single day ?
It’s hard to even begin to imagine the depth of the Love it would take for anyone to come down from Heaven to Earth, much less the depth of Love and Strength it took for Jesus who knew the painful future He would face-just to rescue us.
I wish that I could say that I would do that, but I just don’t have the Love and Strength that Jesus has.
And I think of the love that Mary and Joseph must have had both for our Father and for Jesus, and for us. And I am so very grateful to all of them. I always will be. Just as I am so very grateful to the Holy Spirit. Always. ?
But there is another reason that I am so very grateful to Jesus. He’s always there for me. When I am happy and when I am sad. When I am strong and when I am weak. When I am laughing and loving, and when I am lonely and lost. Jesus is always there-loving me.
No matter how I am. No matter where I am. Jesus is with me. If I fall, Jesus picks me up. And if I get lost, Jesus comes running after me. He never lets me get lost for long and His love for me is not dependent on any actions I take-or don’t take. And Jesus listens, really listens, all the time, with an intentness and compassion that would touch the hardest of hearts.
Jesus Loves me Unconditionally. And unlike the world, which often measures our success by our financial or career success. Jesus doesn’t measure mine. He just wants me to love Him back ?.
We love Jesus, because He loved us first. So this Christmas, let’s just say Thank You ?
There are many Youtube videos shared on FollowingJesusUS.com. Most of them are of The Blessing being sung around the world. There is a reason for that ?
It’s really important, especially right now, to remember that we are first and foremost citizens of Heaven. Our Faith in Jesus unites us as one family and we are going to Heaven together!
Politicians may come into power and make good or poor choices. We can pray for them, but we can’t change them. But with Christ’s Help, we can change ourselves.
For example, Putin may indeed make some poor choices, but that doesn’t mean those Christians who happen to live in Russia are responsible for them. The same with China. Many Chinese officials may make poor, even evil, choices, but that does not mean that Christians who live in China are responsible for them.
As Brothers and Sisters in Christ, we are called to love and pray for one another. The future may bring conflict among some countries, but let it not bring conflict among us.
We are one people. God’s people. Saved by Jesus for all eternity. Let no one break us apart ?
In Psalm 23:4, The Bible says, “Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me, your rod and your staff, they comfort me.”
A Staff is used by a Shepherd to guide His sheep (us). The Shepherd uses the curved end to catch a sheep that is straying. It’s reassuring that Jesus goes after a sheep that strays and brings him back home. Because let’s face it, at some point, most of us stray at least a little.
And it’s comforting to know that Jesus doesn’t just let us go. He comes after us and brings us home ?
So thank you Jesus for all the times you have come after me. Thank you Father for your constant and never ending Mercy. And Thank You Holy Spirit for helping me understand God’s Great Love For All Of Us. Amen 🙂
I found this video on Youtube. It’s a wonderful picture of just how much Jesus loves us. In the video, He comforts a woman as she cries. It’s clear He is completely focused on what she is saying. Listening intently, His great compassion and love for her is amazing.
What a gift to have the Son of God care about us so much. His message is plain “He knows the budens that lay heavy on our hearts”. Who else knows so clearly what troubles us and cares so deeply? So when we have “troubles”, let’s bring them to the one who loves us most: Jesus.
We are indeed Blessed 🙂
It’s a “narrow path”. So together, Let’s follow Christ Home!
